Denon AH-D7000 Headphones and Headroom Ultra Desktop Headphone Amplifier

My first "high end" system consisted of Sennheiser HD-580 headphones, an original HeadRoom headphone amplifier, an Audio Alchemy DAC in the Box, and a Sony Discman with an optical digital out. I was a college student at the time, and there was no way...

Listening to headphones is a different experience that listening to loudspeakers, for sure. If you are looking for the best possible sound quality (i.e. frequency response, clarity, tonal accuracy, retrieval of detail, imaging, soundstaging, etc), at...

Denon AH-D7000Headphone

Meet the Denon AH-D7000s, a pair of closed-back, over-ear headphones designed for the serious listener in mind. While they aren't your typical high-end headphones, their sexy design and wood paneling make for a set of cans that look the part of 1%er...

Very comfortable ; Durable cable ; Low distortion

Not designed with studio mixers in mind

Great cans, but greatly expensive as well.

The Denon AH-D7000s are durable and flashy,

Very comfortable.; Durable cable.; Low distortion

Not designed with studio mixers in mind

If you’re looking for a set of cans that are high on style and offer a performance and coloration that are more suited to home use than mixing, the Denon AH-D7000 are not a bad bet for hi-fi entertainment at home. Durable and flashy, the Denon...

Denon AH-D7000 headphones review

Denon's headphone masterpiece is more than just mahogany earcups and luxury leather earpads

Truly stupendous bass, its level perhaps a touch exaggerated but its extension and precision are revelatory ; Excellent comfort and very good detail

Slight sibilance ; A little upper-midrange congestion ; Cable transmits some mechanical noise

Definitely one of the best headphones around, especially among closed-back designs but also bearing comparison with the finest open models. Beautifully built and clearly differentiated from the competition

Denon AH-D7000 review

Denon's AH-D5000 headphones were previously our favourite pair of cans since the Sennheiser HD 650 s. Now they've got an official successor in the form of the Denon AH-D7000s.

Exceptional sound quality; prowess with a huge array of musical styles; almost unrivalled clarity across the board; great design and level of comfort.

Not so much better than the previous model that they warrant such a price increase.

The older D5000s put the icing on the cake, but the D7000s add the artistic decoration to turn that cake into a masterpiece. At £800 they're very pricey, but they're also the most exciting headphones of the year, excelling with rock, folk, acoustic,...

Very engaging, energetic & fun

The Extinct Denon D7000 Posted on August 4, 2013by HeadMania Hey guys, I've been waiting for a long time for an opportunity to listen to the famous D7000 and I am really happy I have a few days with it. In one of my visits to Jack-Fi, I found a pair of...

Great sounding headphone

Really good sounding headphone with incredible bass. I owned these for about six months. They sound powerful for lack of a better word. Definitely a V-shaped sound signature. The bass can be a bit much sometimes, a bit sloppy, but I usually find it...

Great fun phones

Fun cans. Very enjoyable warm and bassy but good detail. Not as fleshy and forward in the mids as some but a very good sounding phone. No complaints.

Great bass weight and detail

flimsy headband swivel

Brilliant all-rounders!

If you need a pair of headphones that you can use everytime, everywhere and with everything being playing from every kind of source, this is an absolute to-go for you!

Outstanding comfort, build quality, sound when unamped or with cheap amplification, quality bass that drives all the genres greatly, fun for casual

A bit recessed mids (limitation for pure rock music mainly) but very easily solvable by using EQ curve in my signature (built by an audio-pro) :-)
