Griffin Tunebuds

do, however, is fit better and sound better than the abysmal earbuds that come bundled with every iPod. Griffin's TuneBuds don't offer much low end and sound a bit tinny, but they create a tight seal in the ear. This allows for some passive noise...

Inexpensive. Offers some passive noise isolation

Mediocre sound quality. Flimsy design. Intense cable thump makes it a poor choice for gym use

For those who want to upgrade their iPod earbuds without spending much, Griffin's TuneBuds are a decent option, but even $30 seems a little high for what these earphones offer.

Griffin TuneBud review:

It appears that the whole colorful earbud thing is gaining a little momentum, and we're not unhappy to see it. There's nothing wrong with a little style in your ear. Griffin is jumping into the game with the TuneBuds Color, some very inexpensive...

The Griffin TuneBuds Color offer a cute, colorful style to match the iPod, and bass response is impressive. The earphones are inexpensive and block out some ambient noise.

The earbud housing of the Griffin TuneBuds Color is plastic and feels cheap, and the cable doesn't seem that durable. Music is lacking a bit in warmth, and the high end sounds too sharp in some songs.

The Griffin TuneBuds Color are well-suited for iPod-owners on a budget who want ultraportable earphones to match their player. Bass addicts only need apply.

Griffin Technology TuneBuds Earbuds and Lanyard…

The TuneBuds connect neatly to the iPod shuffle via its bottom USB plug, avoiding an aesthetic mistake made by Pacific Rim: the shuffle actually outputs volume-controlled audio through extra pins within the USB connector, and Griffin taps into this...

A nice-looking combination of iPod lanyard USB cap and earbud-style headphones, neatly integrated into a single fabric loop without the need for dangling wires. Very reasonable price point, good build quality

Coloration is a little off the ideal; earbuds and cap are both a bit too gray for iPod white purists. Earbuds don’t come with foams, and comfort level is comparable to Apple’s pack-ins, not better

Griffin Tunebuds review

These buds are a cheap and definite improvment from the leaky, offensive bundled earphones supplied with an iPod

Amazingly cheap ; solid-feeling ; big presentation, deep bass

Overbearing and fat low end ; strident treble

They're an upgrade from bundled, leaky and deeply offensive iPod earphones, but they're still not great - even at this price
