Jabra Elite Sport 2017 review: Advanced, waterproof earbuds for hours of cable-free exercise

I've worn Bluetooth earbuds for years, but over the past year we have seen an explosion in truly wireless earbuds where there is no cord connecting the left and right earbud. I think I finally found a pair that meets my needs for running.

Excellent sound quality ; Easy and reliable connection ; Simple buttons for control ; Advanced smartphone application ; HearThrough mode for safety ; Four mics for good quality calling ; Solid 4+ hours of battery life ; Three year sweat warranty

Still uses older microUSB for charging ; Ears can get a bit sore after prolonged wear

Jabra Elite Sport True Wireless Headphones review: These will satisfy athletes but not audiophiles

Jabra's Elite Sport Truly Wireless Headphones are a bold first foray into truly wireless sports headphones, but they're held back by number of minor issues.

Largely accurate heart rate and step tracking ; Accelerometer allows headphones to track exercise reps ; Bass-heavy sound great for working out ; Sweat and splash-proof ; Acceptable battery life ; Companion phone app details workout metrics in...

Uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time ; Large size makes for a potentially difficult fit ; Audio transparency provides distorted sense of situational awareness ; Bass-heavy audio drowns the enjoyment out of music when outside of the gym ;...

Jabra's Elite Sport are an exceptional workout companion, but their middling audio makes them a less ideal choice outside of the gym.

Jabra Elite Sport (2017) review: Mighty impressive wire-free earphones

There aren't many fitness tracking wire-free earphones out there worth of attention. In fact, there are very few mass market brands competitors to

Solid ; Reliable connection ; Long battery life for form factor ; Decent fitness tracking options and performance

Fit could be more comfortable ; Sound is quite bassy

If you're wanting a pair of earphones for tracking your exercise that won't drop out when on a run, won't have any connection issues, and will last a long time on a full charge, the Jabra Elite Sport is an excellent choice.
