JVC HA-ETR40

The exercise-focused, water-resistant JVC HA-ETR40 earphones deliver crisp audio in a secure-fitting design.

Clean, crisp audio performance with articulate bass response. Water-resistant, washable design. Excellent fit with substantial passive noise reduction.

Not for deep bass fiends. Can be overly bright on certain genres.

If you need a big bass sound to inspire you while you exercise, check out the Audio-Technica ATH-CKX7iS or the JBL Synchros Reflect. If you're looking to spend less money, the exercise-friendly Skullcandy Method and JLab Fit offer great value and are...

JVC HA-ETR40 review

An affordable in-ear that nails both comfort and sound – a decent proposition for any fitness guru

Balanced, detailed sound Fast and punchy Secure, comfortable fit ‘Open’ ear buds for less noise isolation Washable Choice of cable length

Rivals have more subtlety No volume controls on mic No case

They don’t have the full dose of insight or subtelty, but their presentation is one you could happily listen to for hours on end – and the comfort won’t get in the way of doing just that. Looking for affordable in-ears for those gnarly gym sessions?...

JVC HA-ETR40 Earphones Review

The world's unsportiest man is given a pair of 'Sport' earphones for review

Fairly comfortable ; Waterproof ; Safe for jogging in public

Lightweight bass ; Harden up at high volumes ; Some design niggles

There is little real purpose to comparing the JVC to the star performers at this price point because neither of them is designed to be washed after use or stay put under heavy exertion (although it must be said that neither the Shure SE112 or...

Perfect for sport

I wear these while cycling (just one ear) they are very secure. I put my phone in my back jersey pocket, unfortunately the standard lead isn't long enough and the extension is too long. I've never had this problem before with headphone leads. Sound...

Fantastic fit these headphones won't fall out

Great headphones fit perfectly won't fall out at all. The sound quality is ok not the best but I'm not complaining for £22 worth the money and fantastic service by Argos as always.

Good headphones at a good price

There is noting amazing about these headphones but they are a good all rounder especially for £20. The sound is quite good, the build quality is good and unlike most other sports headphones I have tried they actually stay in my ears when I am running.
