JVC HA-FX66 review

These in-ear headphones claim to be good replacements for your iPhone freebies, but we think you can do even better

More detail than you'll get from the freebies

Lacks weight and punch

Better than Apple’s freebies – we’d pay extra for a more convincing upgrade, however

Excellent Bass

I've spent upwards of $50.00 on headphones at local retailers for use while lifting. These are better than any set I've ever bought before, and at half the cost they are a steal. They are that good.

These are great at blocking external noise and I think because of that the bass response is great. They are snug in the ear and I don't feel like they will fall out at all. They come with 4 different size plugs, so the variety of fits is more than most

The rubber that is used is a bit tacky, ie sticky, in that it collects dust easily. Not a deal breaker, but I would keep them in the case and not in a pocket or loose in a bag as they will look pretty unpleasant with pocket lint

Better than i expected

Bought these are replacement workout headphones. Get a lot of abuse so i need them to be sturdy and sound pretty good. These sound great, and are really comfortable. The "air cushion" is actually great, rather than the usual small bead shaped peice of...

Was left speechless

Before I was disabled I was a professional DJ. I've listened to my fair share of headphones, good, bad and otherwise. These are a fantastic stepping stone into the world of audiophiles for those on a budget. Combine these with 320k MP3 or uncompressed...

Breathtaking sound. The separation, presence and clarity are simply astounding. These buds will hold their own against headphones costing 5 to 10 times as much, literally. When properly fit the bass was accurate and responsive. I used the foam insert...

For twenty bucks, there are *no* cons. None

I've seen better

It runs my Nvidia GT220 just fine

Scared me at first. The rear PSU fan started up and sounded like a car motor. It eventually just stopped. I noticed I could us a small screw to start it up like a small airplane propeller. I think I can just disassemble the fan and oil it up with some...

Almost Perfect

The HA-FX66's flimsy, breakable cord is the only thing that stops me from giving these earbuds a 5. If you don't expect to put your cord through a lot of wear and tear, you'll be satisfied.

For its price, the sound quality of the JVC HA-FX66 earbuds is superb. The bass is solid (although not booming) and the treble is crisp. The form looks stylish, but they also do a fine job at blocking out a lot of outside noise at the same time. The...

Unfortunately, I've gone through two pairs of these earbuds in a little more than a year. Both have had the cord detach a channel along the same exact place on the cord, right at the end of the flexible support near the jack

Love these!

I'll keep buying these as long as they keep making them.

I bought these from a different retailer 3yrs ago. They fit perfectly and sound good. FYI, not an audiophile so I don't know how "perfectly" they reproduce sound, but all I know is my music, podcasts, and audio books sound great. My wife tried mine out...

JVC HA-FX66W 3.5mm Gold-Plated Connector Canal White Air-Cushion Headphone

Great sound, adequate cord length, tons of ambient sound blockage.

Very good frequency response range, snug fit, cool colors, carry case, good range of ear canal size adapters

If you dont have the correct ear fit piece installed and pressed into your ear pretty well then the low end is inaudible. Once its put in far enough to hear the low end you cant hear any ambient sound, which is good or bad depending on your use -...

The JVC FX66 headphones Overpriced but Modest...

About a week ago, I had went to my local electronics store and purchased a pair of JVC FX66 in ear canal phones for 20 pounds which is around 30 us dollars. I really wanted to get me a pair of decent headphones to replace the apple earbuds on my iPod...

Vibrant metal colors, comfortable fit, long cable

Mediocre sound quality, Cheap packaging
