JVC HA-S650 Headphones Review

Carbon fiber is well known for showing up in racing cars and sports boats, but headphones? According to JVC, the strong, lightweight material is what makes their HA-S650 headphones particularly special, delivering - so they promise - audio quality that...

Review: JVC HA-S650 headphones

Most headphones for use while you're out and about are in-ear models, but the HA-S650 offers an over-ear headband design.

The earpieces are a glossy black, but other than that they’re quite understated and a good fit. They’re also comfortable, helped by the memory foam pads and earpieces that rotate 45 degrees

JVC HA-S650 Headphones

Priced somewhere between budget-friendly and expensive, JVC's HA-S650 is equally in the middle when it comes to sound quality too. However, consumer testers found this pair fairly comfy to wear, and the headphones sailed through our durability tests,...

JVC HA-S650 review

JVC's Carbon Black series of headphones looks stylish, and the HA-S650 set sounds pretty good too.

Really comfortable, neutral and clear sound quality, smart design

Sound could do with a bit more punch, fragile build

The neutral, versatile sound quality make them a good alternative to in-ear headphones, so they’re ideal for people who find headband headphones more comfortable. They’re also a decent set of lightweight cans in their own right, and among the most...

Neutral Headphones

You may not like these headphones if you're looking for thumping bass low end or hot highs. These cones are very neutral and offer very little coloration of music, but they still dish out a great volume range for their fidelity.

Soft cushion feel and non-extensive pressure on the ears. Frame and design is unique in that it is more rectangular than oval or circular. Sound response is very neutral no deep low end or hot crisp highs, everything is equally tuned and clear

Short cable length is the biggest let down, at 3.9' you may have trouble connecting these phones to the nearest jack. 6' or longer would have been perfect. No extension cable is included either to make up for the headphones short coming

These looked so sharp, and the weight and fit were fine, but I didn't like the sound at all. It's all bass, with no brightness or clarity at the upper end. (I mostly listen to classical music.) Also, I wanted to use them with my regular stereo, but the...
