Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Headset Review

There are many headsets available on the market today at all different prices, let's see how the Logitech fares.

No installation required ; Good sound quality with preset equalizers ; USB connectivity for convenience ; In built sound drivers ; Comfortable and solid build ; Price is only around £25

Sound is not crystal clear ; Volume controlled through operating system

Once again we have an excellent product from Logitech. The USB connection allows for very convenient connectivity to any computer or laptop without requiring a sound card or reaching to the back of your case while breaking your back. The quality of...

Logitech ClearChat Pro USB Headset

This VoIP headset is multi-purpose, and claims to deliver superior voice quality

USB connectivity, good sound and voice quality, easy-to-access controls

A bit expensive, build quality could have been better

Not terrible, but not great

Not a bad headset, but it isn't great either. I've been told that the USB interface isn't the best for a microphone, but there are other USB headsets available that do just fine. I think I'm going to buy a cheap 3.5mm headset just to compare.

It's pretty comfortable, and the padded top band is nice. The mic (when down) is in the perfect location in relation to your mouth, and I like the mute button on the side of the headset. Sound quality is pretty decent as well

Everyone I've talked to with this headset say that they hear some hissing, or "white noise" when I speak. I've tried this headset on Win XP, Win 7 and Ubuntu and it's the same result every time. Not too pleased about that. No amount of mic adjustments...

Worked for a Week, Mic Broke

Seems to be cheap construction inside these things for everything to just suddenly stop working.

While it worked this headset sounded good and everyone in vent said I sounded clear

Volume controls and mute button on headset stopped working after just a few days, but at least the headset still worked. Mic stopped working after a week, so now it is useless

very cheaply made, very disappointed

I'm very disappointed with my purchase, I will never buy another Logitech headset ever again. You would expect more from a very "good" company like Logitech, unfortunately they left me very disappointed with a product that doesn't even last 24 hours.

Clear headphone quality and the crystal clear mic while it lasted

This thing feels cheap and the mic stopped working after just 1 day of owning it

Mic has a shelflife of around 3 months

While I've had to get two replacements from Logitech due to a dead mic, I would recommend the product solely for their wonderful customer service, no hassle replacement policy.

Very comfortable, I forget I'm wearing them sometimes during long marathon gaming sessions. Great Logitech customer service comes with them

I've had the mic on two of these go bad so far, the mute light on the boom stops coming and the mic stops working

Good while it lasted

I'm really disappointed in Logitech. This is probably going to be the last Logitech headset I'll ever own. Logitech headsets consistently fail months after purchase.

good visual appeal ; volume and mic mute located on actual headphone ; long cable ; no configuration necessary

randomly stopped working after 6 months of absolutely issue-free use. The USB board is really cheap. I'm waiting to see if Logitech will at least give me a refurb

Nice

I like not having the controls on the cord. In the past I had some trouble with those types snagging. This is my second purchase of this model. First one I wore out with heavy use.

Snug fit and good sound. Never would buy a lesser headset from Logitech. This was worth the extra money

Carefull with the cord. It can get stuck on chair wheels etc

Good Headset... While it Worked.

I've owned Logitech products for the past 3-4 years. None of their products have seem to fail me yet, except for this Headset. Allthough it did break, this was an excellent headset for the price. I currently upgraded to the Wireless version and I'm...

Great quality. Clear crisp sound/mic ; Long cord ; Ability to change volume/mute mic via the buttons directly on the headset

The USB plug is too big. Using this headset on my laptop, which I traveled allot with, resulted in breaking the long USB plug
