Logitech ClearChat Wireless USB Headset (Black) review

Wireless keyboards, mice, and printers have been around for years, but headphones and headsets are fairly new to the cordless party. Logitech's entry into the fray is the ClearChat PC Wireless Headset. Unlike the Creative Digital Wireless Gaming...

Wireless USB communications headset for PCs; USB dongle requires no software installation; rechargeable battery; Windows and Mac compatible.

Lackluster sound quality when used for gaming and music listening; not comfortable for long listening sessions.

The ClearChat PC Wireless Headset is great for VoIP sessions, but it falls short on audio quality and long-term comfort.

Comfortable, decent sound, sound from microphone is clear

The Logitech ClearChat Premium is a simple VoIP and gaming headset with good sound quality, a comfortable design and a high quality microphone. It's appropriate for voice chat or listening to MP3s.

Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB

Padded comfort and an in-line volume control

Sturdy construction, long USB plug, long cord, in-line volume and mute controls, rotating microphone

Ears become hot after short periods of use, headband can be uncomfortable, not ideal for music listening

For voice applications like Skype and Windows Live Messenger, the ClearChat Comfort USB is a reasonable choice. Just don’t expect great quality when listening to music.

Logitech ClearChat Premium

The Logitech ClearChat Premium is a PC gaming and VoIP headset that does everything it is designed for — it's acceptable for listening to MP3s, it recreates game audio well, and the microphone is good enough for chatting.

There’s nothing obvious to criticise about the Logitech ClearChat Premium headset. The build quality is acceptable — and the sound quality is more than acceptable for its price tag.

Whines like a spoild child

When my turtle beach headphones crapped out I needed some headphones with a good mic. Man I was not disappointed. The mic quality is amazing for a 40 dollar pair of headphones. I would have preferred that the they fully covered the ears but they are...

The only problem is the bass isn't really there. It is a small soundstage but that's what you get from closed ear headphones

Unbelievable

I know it's only $5 but at least try to make the thing look presentable newegg, geez. At least it works though

The headphones work

It came with wires hanging out. I really though it was trash till I put the wires back inside the headphone and put some clear tape to it to keep th wires inside. Yes, it was that bad

Excellent Quality

By my mistake I ripped off the cable from the usb connector, but with a soldering iron and patience i repaired by my self. (I have the pinouts if you like luis.erasmo(at)gmail )

High quality sound, good response and easy to use. The mic is very good and isolate the voice sound, almost not noise is detected

none

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Comfy & perfectly usable

For the price paid, can't complain. Easily rivals headset that cost 2-3X moer.

Cheap Price, has all the functions one could ask for (Mute button, Volume Dial). Lightweight

wish the cord was 6-12" longer. The placement of the control dial in the middle also makes it feel slightly unwieldy, as it drags the cord down if left dangled free. Solved by placing the cord under my keyboard palm rest
