Marshall Major II Bluetooth headphones review

The Marshall Major II Wireless are best-in-class headphone – a slam dunk choice at this price.

With classic rock style performance, Marshall Headphones’ Major II Bluetooth carry the torch from their predecessor, offering warm and punchy wireless sound in a comfy design that won’t break the bank. The bass gets a little hefty for us at times, but...

Marshall Major II Bluetooth

The Marshall Major II Bluetooth headphones can be divisive, but are an ideal pair if you're a fan of the look and like your audio with a big bass response.

Powerful, bass-forward audio performance. Useful multifunction button. Cable with inline remote included. Comfortable.

Not for anyone seeking accurate, balanced mix. Connecting cable doesn't automatically power down the headphones.

In this price range and lower, there are plenty of solid Bluetooth headphones to consider. Some have a bit more balance, like our Editors' Choice, the Skullcandy Grind Wireless. But most are in the bass-forward category, like the Plantronics BackBeat...

Marshall Major II

The Marshall Major II is a highly stylized set of on-ear headphones with terrific audio performance for the price.

Well-balanced, clean audio response with rich bass and crisp highs. Comfortable, lightweight design. Detachable cable.

Plastic look not for everyone. Purists may find the headphones too bass-heavy.

If you like the look, you'll be very happy with the Major II. For $119, it's an affordably priced on-ear option that puts out some truly excellent audio, earning it an Editors' Choice award. If you're looking for a more flat response, purist-geared...

Marshall Major II review: Affordable on-ear headphones worth listening to

With an improved design and performance, Marshall Headphones' Major II model is a nice upgrade over the original and among the better on-ear headphones for the money.

The affordable, comfortable Marshall Major II on-ear headphones offer improved bass performance and better clarity than the original Major model. The headphones fold inward and have a detachable cable with a one-button inline remote and microphone.

Inline remote lacks volume controls; no carrying case included.

The combination of an improved design and better performance makes the Marshall Major II a strong on-ear contender for around $100 USD.

For starters, the earcups have a more rounded design, and the hinges and headband are more flexible, and the headphones just fit your head better and are more comfortable to wear.

Marshall Major 2 (II) HEADPHONES

The Marshall Major II are straightforward on-ear headphones with a decent sound for recording or critical listening. They have a relatively unique look, they're lightweight and decently comfortable. However, they're not the most durable headphones and...

Lightweight, and stable design. ; Low leakage.

Poor noise isolation. ; Slightly tight on the head. ; Fragile build quality.

Marshall Major II Headphones Review: Stellar Sound, Affordable Price

In our Marshall Major II Headphones review, we take a look at a set of headphones from Marshall Amplification, made famous for its guitar amplifiers.

Comfortable, great sound, price.

Small cosmetic manufacturer defect on close inspection.

Lightweight, great sounding, affordable, mic/remote function, and the ability to hook in a second set of headphones to share your music with friends are all features which make these headphones well worth a look. If you’re in the market for a new set...
