Review: Motorola S805 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

High Quality, Excellent Sound & Performance, High device compatibility, Simple and Intuitive design and function, Included carrying case

Large & not concealable, Could use a simple on/off switch, Would prefer higher quality buttons

Given my earlier reticence with A2DP, I was happily surprised by my experience

Motorola S805 Bluetooth DJ Headphones

Wireless connectivity, good sound compared to other wireless headphones, comfortable

Sound still lacking clarity and refinement

The S805s are one of the better pairs of wireless headphones we've reviewed. Their sound quality isn't exceptional, but it is better than many other similar units and the comfortable design combined with intuitive controls makes it a good choice if...

Review: Motorola S805 "DJ Style" Stereo Bluetooth Headset

The propaganda Stereo Bluetooth looks set to become incredibly popular throughout 2007. If CES is anything to go by, and that after all is what CES is for, then it looks like we're going to be bombarded with all…

Motorola Bluetooth DJ Headphones S805

We doubt any DJ's will start using them any time soon, but commuters probably will.

2nd one

Bought 2 - both have the same problems.

Good sound ; Good bass ; Long-lasting battery

Battery charge indicator doesn't always work ; Loses pairing - have to frequently re-pair it with my kid's iPod Touch (a real pain)

Good for phone calls - not for music.

For 50 bucks. This isn't a bad device. I use it every day for the many calls I have to make while I'm at work. But whenever I'm not on a call. I slip on my Ultrasone HFI 780 headphones and go to town. To be fair to motorola. I've never heard decent...

Long battery life and range ; Very comfortable even for people like me with lots of hair and a big head ; Paired up perfectly with my HTC Evo running on MIUI

Noise cancelling doesn't work all that well and you can't turn it off. The audio quality sucks. The left speaker is a little louder and more pronounced then the other

Excellent for price, only minor issues.

These are DJ-style headphones, not actual DJ headphones. Bass feels a little flat/washed out, but isn't non-existent. This is probably more to do with the sound source EQ than the headphones themselves, which is why I am mentioning it here, instead of...

Got these during Newegg's Daily Deal 72hr promos for $39. At that price, these are an amazing deal! Great quality ; Nice snug fit on my head, ear pads make for a comfortable fit for many hours at a time ; BT pairing on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit went...

These are minor gripes, so please keep that in mind ; Headphones crackle when both the source (computer) and the headphone volumes are both turned all the way up. The solution is just to turn down the source volume a bit ; Volume and track rocker knobs...

great headset

great buy, I may buy a second pair if I can get it to pair with my PC

very comfortable headset, great battery life (by far outlives my phone), great sound quality, sturdy feel while wearing, easy to charge, good call quality from what I'm told

buttons are a bit awkward, buttons feel cheap, button used for power accidentally dials a phone, sometimes a bother for pairing

Love them!

Pretty decent battery life, it outlives the phone playing the music in my case. Only take them home to charge them every 3rd day or so.

Works amazing with my phone (HTC Inspire 4G on CM7.1RC1) Watch videos and listen to music on my phone at work with them, almost all the media controls work great

Doesn't work with my Viewsonic gTablet on CM7.1RC1, but I think that is an issue with the tablet rom build, haven't tried on any other roms yet ; The play/pause button doesn't work if you haven't had any music playing for a few hours, you have to...

Not great on Win7 64-bit ... great for everything else.

Since this is an OEM, I can't return it ... so I ended up giving them to my brother instead. He seems to enjoy it a lot. In retrospect, I should have done a little bit more research and found out that this headset isn't supported on Windows 7 ... but...

The headset paired very well with my iPhone, PS3, and my brother's iMac; and it sounds real great. Controls work nicely and my ears still feel comfortable after an extended period of time

It doesn't seem to pair very well with my PC running Windows 7 64-bit with the AZiO BTD-V201 Bluetooth adapter. I tried using the stock Microsoft drivers and the newest Toshiba stack drivers I can find but nothing made this headset work on Windows 7. I...
