Panasonic RP-HC200

If you think of the Panasonic RP-HC200 as an affordable pair of headphones with good audio performance, the so-so noise cancellation can be viewed as an extra perk, not a downfall.

Impressive audio performance for the price, with respectable bass response and no distortion. Outputs audio in passive mode.

Mediocre noise cancellation. Runs on a AAA battery rather than a rechargeable cell.

Panasonic RP-HC200 HEADPHONES

The Panasonic RPHC200K are plasicky and cheap-looking noise-cancelling headphones. They're comfortable, won't leak too much and sound decent. However, they severely lack in bass and their poor noise isolation may also cause ambient noise from loud...

Lightweight, comfortable design. ; Leaks little sound.

Poor noise isolation. ; Weak build quality. ; Severely lacking bass.

Panasonic RP-HC200-Y Noise Canceling Headphones Reviewed

Most people know Panasonic as a manufacturer of electronics, particularly televisions. And if this review of the RP-HC200-Y noise cancelling headphones is any indication, perhaps they should stick to that.

The Panasonic HC200's noise cancelling properties are solid and perform as advertised, though it may not be class-leading. Also, the 60-hour battery life should be sufficient for all but the most diehard listeners ; The HC200 is reasonably stylish and...

For prolonged periods of wear, the HC200's weight can become an issue, as the pressure exerted by its ear cups and headband is fatiguing ; The cable, while long enough to be versatile, becomes easily tangled, especially at the Y joint, which may cause...

For a hair under $80 retail, the Panasonic HC200 headphones are wonderful at blocking out the outside world. The only problem is that Panasonic would have you believe that what the HC200 substitutes in the outside world's place is music, but it's not....

Does the Job

I brought these headphones a while ago now and have still held together. They are solid and well made. I used to have expensive Sennheiser headphones and after a while ended up falling apart. Ive tried several brands since which ended up breaking when...

Not what we wanted

My husband has hearing problems and we wanted to improve his ability to hear the TV without having it so loud that it was uncomfortable for the rest of us. These didn't really help as we had hoped, particularly as there is no volume control on them....

Very Good Value Noise Cancelling Headphones

to her several times whilst wearing them! :) Sound quality is very good - switching on the noise cancelling has the effect of also amplifying the sound as well. As others have described, the sound can be a little bassy but if you like that sort of...

Very good noise cancellation, comfortable to wear, very good sound. Only takes one AAA battery and it lasts a long time.

For some it might seem a little bassy.

Good sound quality, but ridiculously bassy

These headphones would be best suited for someone who listens to music like DnB, Club, House, Trance, Techno, Electro, Dubstep etc.. but for someone like me who listens to a lot of prog rock and metal they are simply too bassy and can make some tracks...

Good sound quality, comfortable

Noise cancelation almost non-existent, too bassy, not good for rock music

Good quality, horrible durability

n't treat my headphones greatly, but I don't throw them around or disrespect them, so I was very disappointed when a $75 dollar pair from such a respectable brand didnt even last a year. I personally wouldn't recommend them

Sound quality, noise cancelling was half decent for on the plane

Hardly lasted 6 months, some circuit problem made them only work in one ear after about 4 months, very poor durability for what seemed like a half decent pair of headphones

Good quality, horrible durability

Had these headphones for little over 6 months until they fully broke. It would've been about 4 months until the wire cover pushed up where it splits into two, exposing about an inch of wire each side. I won't lie, the sound quality of the headphones...

Quite good sound quality considering the low price

I bought this headset prior to my 16 hour flight to Hong Kong and enjoyed it throughout my flight with the flight video system. The fit is quite comfortable. Once in Hong Kong I tried it by listening to music using my iphone. Even though one first...

Good sound for the price

Time will show how well the plastic parts will hold up.
