Panasonic RP-HT21 (Black) review

In the past few months I've been on a minor mission to check out some budget headphones that cost less than $10. I started with Pansonic's sub-$10 ErgoFit RP-HJE120 earphones, and came away pleasantly surprised by their performance and fit. But what...

Panasonic's very inexpensive RP-HT21 on-ear headphones are lightweight, fairly comfortable, seem sturdy enough, and sound quite decent for their low price.

The headphones have a generic design, don't fold up, and their thicker, reinforced L-shaped plug may not be compatible with certain smartphone cases. They also leak sound.

As far as really inexpensive headphones go, you're not going to do too much better than the Panasonic RP-HT21s.

Best sub-$15 headphones, but HJE-120's are better

I am a frequent buyer of headphones and research them carefully because I usually buy 3 sets at once for all members of my family, all computers, all smartphones, etc.

Lightweight, good sound, nice finish, better than others

Bass is not as rich as I had hoped

Great-sounding for the price

For cheap headphones, these things can't be beat. I bought 10 pairs of them because I liked them so much. Many of them broke, or got lost, or got "lost", or given away because everybody liked them so much, and now I only have two pairs left. Maybe it's...

These things are cheap cheap cheap and sound wonderful, and are quite comfortable on my ears. Extremely light, too. They are the best-sounding supra-aural headphones I have ever had experience with, actually.

Cheaply constructed, break easily. Short cord.

Kudos Panasonic.

It sounds just fine if you're not expecting a Dr. Dre experience. And I'm not going to scream if they die. Super light-weight. Perfect if you're working out and you cannot stand sticking jelly-things in your ears. I imagine great for kids with this...

Price point.

None relative to cost.

Great low-cost option for use with ALDs

High quality at low cost for use with ALDs (Assistive Listening Devices) as they fit over the existing hearing aids.

Cheap.

Not entirely sure why I bought a 3-dollar pair of headphones, but I did get a pair of headphones that I could listen to music with. It's cheap, after all, so don't expect much.

It's only 3 bucks. Pretty cheap for over-ear headphones

It's a pair of 3-dollar headphones. Low sound quality, low build quality, not designed for comfort listening

Panasonic RP-HT21 3.5mm Connector Supra-aural Lightweight headphone with XBS

panasonic/technics has always made quality products, even for the low end. these were purchased to use at work as junkers... ive used these coming out of a mackie mixing console, rane dj mixer, vestax dj mixer and a 10 year old panasonic disk-man. im...

suprisingly good sound for the low low low price newegg has. not good enough for studio mixing, but unusually clean for little cheapies. a fairly wide range also, the highs arent abraisive and the lows actually show up

even with shipping costs, none
