Philips SBC-HN110

As any frequent flyer knows, apart from industrial-strength knockout pills from a cooperative GP, noise-cancelling headphones are the best thing since...

They look cool, Lightweight, Foldable, Included Carry Pouch

Ear cups a little awkward, Noise cancellation isn't up to scratch, On/Off switch difficult to access, Lacking in bass

The Philips SBC-HN110 headphones are too lightweight and their noise attenuation of just 10dB is not enough to really deal with unwanted sounds.

Cancel Out the Neighbor's Lawn Mower with a Flip of the Switch ”

I love listening to music while doing housework. But it's hard to concentrate on the songs when there are kids shouting or cartoons blaring in the background. My husband travels a lot and likes to sleep on airplanes so he decided to buy us a pair of...

Worth every penny

I have had these phones for three years now and I have yet to find anything wrong with them. Twenty minutes with an iPod at full volume with earbuds, and my eardrums feel as though they've ruptured. With these, same volume for two hours on end and I...

Comfortable, Durable, Highly Compatible, Lightweight, Rich Sound

Good Product / Price Valuation: Hard to Find Reason for Buying Something Better

I've had these headphones for 2 years now and am very happy with them despite a couple shortfalls.

Comfortable ear cups/pads; compact design; good price

Plastic headphone joints; bass not powerfully clean; thick for briefcases

Quality noise canceling headphones

I bought the Phillips HN110 because it was a cheap alternative to the Bose QuiteComfort noise-canceling headphones. I believe in the school of thought "you get what you pay for," and though the HN110 is a lot cheaper than its more expensive brothers I...

Great noise-cancellation headphones for the price, good sound quality

Not very comfortable, after a two hour movie my ears hurt

Superb noise-cancelation, mediocre sound quality

There seems to be two types of noise-canceling headphones available for purchase. One type is around $50, the other is above $150. I am a college student and do not have the money to drop $150 on headphones, so I opted to save some cash and buy the...

Good ergonomics, comfortable, decent performance for money, compact

Overly-boosted highs, not much oomph for bass

Good performance for a reasonable price

I was looking for a set of noise canceling headphones to replace my Aiwa HP-CN5 (they are pretty uncomfortable on long flights, don't stay well on my head and have an annoying hiss - but they are 1st generation so I did not have too many choices when I...

Comfortable with good passive sound isolation and active noise cancelation

Will not win any audiophile awards, but sound good

A good value in noise-canceling headphones

I purchased these headphones to use with a portable DVD player. While using the DVD player on an airplane, the engine noise made it hard to hear the movie, even with the volume turned as high as it would go.

Effective in reducing noise; well suited for travel

Pricey, but with noise-reduction headphones you get what you pay for

OK

The headphones a good but not great. It produces good sound but I find I need to turn the volume on the unit highter to immerse myself in what I am listening to. Not happy with the fault I experienced, however post purchase service has not been bad, so...

Light-weight and produce good sound. The noise cancelling button is easy to switch on and the headphones itself are easy to store away as they can fold away.

It has been six months since I purchased this product. The noise cancelling function intermittently stops working on the left hand side. I contacted Philips and they told me to contact Crest electronics (they distribute the Philips products) and so I...
