A real bargain

 

I picked up one of these: "StarTech.com Headset adapter for headsets with separate headphone / microphone plugs - 3.5mm 4 position to 2x 3 position 3.5mm M/F " - to adapt from this headset to a 3.5mm combo mic/headphone jack on my Win7 ThinkPad laptop....

Sound quality from the headphones is excellent. Even for listening for stereo music. Mic yields good sound quality too. Great deal for the price

The headphones provide dual 3mm mic/headphone plugs, which is a problem for smartphones or new laptops, which provide a single combo mic/headphone jack ; The phones are rather tight on my head ... this could be a real problem for someone with a big head

PLANTRONICS .Audio 326

 

I bought this headset primarily for the microphone. I use Skype and Google Voice a lot and this was a good solution when my last headset microphone died. According to the people I'm speaking to, my voice is clear, so I'm happy.

Comfortable, at least for an hour-long conversation ; Microphone works ; Noise canceling works

For the price, untouchable by anything else.

Affordable, practical, Comfortable (after some use) ; I use this unit at work and at home. I think it is the perfect Skype headset/boom combo. I make several calls a day from each location, and listen to YouTubes on it at home ; I have repurchased this...

One unit the wires going to the boom mike broke, but that was after 18 months of raising and lowering the boom mike

Very disappointed

 

I bought two of these boys for Christmas in 2011 and in less than 3 months both of these headphones fell apart. They weren't under heavy use; hell, they didn't even come out of the box until two months after they got them, and they couldn't stay held...

Lightweight, comfortable, affordable

Cheaply made, not durable in the least ; Not USB, but that can't be expected on everything

PLANTRONICS 80933-01 3.5mm Connector Headset

 

I use this headset for gaming (mic only) and for music and movies (headphones only). I have Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium sound card and the sound quality is excellent.

Very comfortable for the price. The cord is 6.5 feet long. Gold plated plugs

The plastic packaging is very difficult to open. Using scissors took me about 30 minutes to open the package

works fine

 

This is my second set. First set lasted over a year, after dropping it and rolling over the wires with my desk chair a number of times, it finally gave out. I would buy again.

Basic headset with decent sound. Good if you want to use your headset jacks, instead of USB. Cheap enough that you can just buy another one if you break them

Only con is that when new, they are a little tight. After some time, the headband loosen up though
