Plantronics Headset

 

For the price, these are a complete steal. From my experience you can plan on these lasting 3-5 years. I just bought a second pair of these for a friend since he liked mine so much.

Comfortable: These are very comfortable for me, even during several hour gaming sessions. I usually have to go through a break-in phase where I get used to a new headset. This one did not have that phase, which is nice since it saved me a couple...

1) Mic boom is very flexible and easy to position ; 2) Sound quality is decent on both the mic and speakers ; 3) The in-line control seem more solidly attached to the cord then most headsets I've used ; 4) Comes with detachable USB converter

1) After about 2.5 hrs they become uncomfortable to continue wearing ; 2) In-line Volume control for the mic has 3 settings going up and 4 settings going down, unsure if it's meant to have {mute,low,high} or {mute,low,medium,high ; 3) Something...

Comfortable, but didn't last long

 

I really love Plantronics and really hoped these would work out. Like I said, they are really comfortable and were a great deal.

Very comfortable, decent sound quality, great value for the price

Had problems with sound either going out or lost altogether. Also had problems with the mic not working -- I was told that when this happened, all others could hear is static coming from my mic. After owning for 6 months, the mic went out and no longer...

Great sound, and Mic., Falls apart.

 

With that said, I would buy these again, step 1, superglue the two plastic halves. To do so you must pull the letherette ear muffs back/off. THey go back on after a little play.

Pros... Duh, Newegg, yes!. Sound is very good. You dont hear a hiss when there is silence. Great for skype, vent, teamviewer... Always was complimented on sound quality from other vent users. Volume control for ears, and for Mic on cord a plus

Like the other reviewer said. They fall apart. Nothing a little super glue couldn't prevent. I fixed mine with a drill and zipties

Powerful, yet fragile.

 

I might actually look at a different pair of headsets this time.. probably not though :P

VERY high sound quality from both the headset and the microphone. Input and output is clear and consistent, with very little cracking or distortion. Very good for the price

Plastic casing is a nuisance and bad for the environment. Why do companies still do this? Required a knife to open.

Good sound quality, cuts out a lot of the background noise ; Comfortable to wear, love the padding around the ears ; Behind the head ; Came with USB soundcard/adapter

Not For Gaming

 

If you're not going to use them much and just want to pick up a quick pair, go ahead, but I wouldn't suggest these for anything more.

Cheap ; Great for infrequent use

Very painful to wear for gaming (that is, for a few hours or longer). Gaming with these headsets for a few days left very sore spots on the top of both ears that eventually formed blisters ; Low-Quality. The first set I bought lost sound within 2 weeks...
