Plantronics Backbeat 906 review

The sleek Plantronics Backbeat 906 is a replica of the Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 which was launched a year ago. It is just the rebadged version of the Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 by Plantronics (which is the parent company of Altec Lansing) as it...

The Plantronics Backbeat 906 is a good Bluetooth stereo headset that has nice set of features, good design and performed satisfactorily as a handsfree device. However, its steep price tag and middling performance as a music headphones make it just...

Plantronics Backbeat 906

Ergonomically designed stereo bluetooth headset from Plantronics that works with your cell phones, MP3 players and your laptops.

Call sound quality is good ; Comfortable headband design ; Foldable design great for portability ; Works with non-bluetooth enabled device ; Good battery life

Not the best control placement ; Music sound quality is average ; Expensive

Well designed Bluetooth stereo headset that works not only with cell phones but also for non-bluetooth devices, thanks to its Bluetooth adapter. It has very good call sound quality but not so much when it comes to music.

Nice headset

These headphones work well for what they are. They last a good amount of time and sound like what they are. These are not audiophile grade, but they get the job done if all you want to do is listen to some background music. The only problem I have...

Surround sound!

Add on adapter is well worth the extra, you can use these on any device.

I've had these for 5 months now and I LOVE them. Best sound quality available today, sounds like the whole room is filled with sound. Nuances of songs I've never heard with any other headphones. Adjustable for almost any head,(little extensions come...

Volume control is a little delicate, but I treat them gently, kinda hard to put on, but once there, they stay and are comfortable

Awesome

Since these can from PA and shipping sucked bad, it didn't even come in a box, its more like a paper bag from HEB glued together. I mean i bought this a memory card, the card came in 2 days while this headphones came in 1 week :{.. these can get real...

With my Sprint EVO it works great i can walk around the room and still hear the music no cut offs or skips. I run and jump with them at the gym they dont move at all ; I also use for Raiding (WOW) or talking smack (black ops)

When using it around my apartment everyone has a wireless device that might cause some skipping. Fiting can be tiresome but soon it will be fit like a glove

Don't Sweat

Plantronics no hassle support is nice, just mail the unit in and they will replace it. I give up on stereo BT headsets for working out, I have destroyed a Motorola S9 (X2) and the Backbeat. My Sony DRBT160AS headset is the only one that has managed my...

Comfortable, sound quality, BT range issues are dependent on the paired device, works great with my Nokia X6, not so good with my Cowon S9 MP3 player. Conversations are crisp microphone works great

Controls and sweating will short the unit out. My first unit I couldn't power it off or back on after sweat ruined it. It stayed on until the battery died and then would not recharge. My second unit arrived with the spring for the volume up control...
