Razer StarCraft II Peripherals

It's recently become popular for major PC game releases to be accompanied by their own line of branded peripherals, custom designed by big-name peripheral makers like Razer and SteelSeries. Frequently, these products are no more than a reskinning of a...

Solid software, all peripherals managed from a single control panel, color changing LEDs convey game information

Poor construction quality, ugly design, overweight headset and underweight mouse, feature set isn’t worth the high price tag

So, in summary, the StarCraft II line of peripherals is a surprisingly low-quality offering from a well-regarded peripheral maker gifted with a major game license. There are a few bright spots—in particular the software controlling the three products...

Razer Banshee StarCraft II Headset Review

Big, powerful, brilliant.

Excellent sound, Big ear cups, Full equalizer, Detachable mic, Very comfortable

Nothing

The left ear cup has the mic boom attachment along with the mic volume controls and mute button. The right side has the headphones volume control along with the complementary mute button. The cloth padding on the headband and the ear cups are not only...

typical razer quality

decent sound and mic. lighting effect was cool, but I usually turned off the lights. pretty confortable

was great while it worked, but it did not get much use before it died. wife gave it to me a couple years ago, and I never opened it till I needed a headset with a mic a few months ago. worked great for a few months, then died. kinda typical of razer as...

Owned for 6 months.

Nice sound, cool lights, sturdy connector

After aproxematly a month, the microphone jack on the headset wore out causing the mic to always drop from your mouth. At around 6 months the ear pad clips started to wear, causing the ear pads to fall off at the smallest impact

These headphones are pure garbage. The first pair i had for less than a week and the speakers crackled really bad and then the right headphone went out randomly. Second pair right out of the box the speakers crackle again. the sound isn't clear at all....

Could Be Better

Give me a few more days and I will probably be used to the washed out audio issue. But still, if you're wanting a headset that will have excellent audio quality, I would look somewhere else.

Can work on both ears (but is made for the microphone to be on the left ear cup) ; Lighting options are always awesome ; Lighting on headset flashes if your base is under attack in StarCraft II (You can also set it to flash for other options in...

Audio quality seems a little washed out, even when messing around with audio levels for a few hours ; Headset seems to be made for people with big heads. The lower part of my headset seems to just go straight down, exposing the lower part of my ear...

I love it!

I think I found the one! for the use I've put it through so far, this handles everything. I love it.

The sound is astounding. Fits well, and extremely comfortable. Bass boost option available and has controls on both sides of the headphones. Volume control with mute, and mic volume with mute. LED's look amazing and matches my set up. Cant wait to play...

Wire could be longer. Besides that its perfect

They're....ok...

All I can say is now that I'm done listening to music with these on for this review, I'm going back to my Senn 555's. (albeit paired w/ a Xonar ST--of which has a max volume that scares me. ) Honestly for the most part when playing Sc2 I use my senns...

So, first things first--I never make reviews, but this page was up and I saw some mixed reviews so I figured I would throw in my two cents ; Build Quality:Overall solid; pretty well constructed, ear pads come off rather easily which can be seen as good...

BULKY--, light but bulky ; The padding doesn't seem to be of the highest quality, it has that "crunch" when you push into it. Its still comfortable, but compared to my pair of senn 555's...it feels harder& cheaper (price point is similar). They also...

Good Headset

After reading the reviews, I was suprised to find out how many people have had trouble with the mic and headphones. I have had mine since January and haven't seen any of these problems. Not to jinx my luck, but it seems I got the only pair that works...

Its not a really a con...but I could care less about the APM lighting. It's not like you can see it while wearing them anyway. But they do look cool lighted up to other people in the room
