Razer Pro-Tone m250

If you dig your MP3 player but can't stand jammin' earbuds into your head to listen to it, you'll find yourself attracted to Razer's Pro-Tone m250 headphones. But after using them, you might resign yourself to suffering with the buds.

The design's stylish and unique--and they stay in place pretty well too

Bogus outside sounds are no stranger to the Razer Pro-Tone m250

The m250s also leak like a sieve: Listening at even moderate volume creates a tinny concert hall in miniature for everyone within a six-foot radius of your head. And as you might have guessed, these headphones do nothing to isolate your ears from...

The m250's earpieces are indeed comfortable. Despite a brushed-metal outer casing, each earpiece weighs less than an ounce and features a soft, gray pad that rests against your ear and a rubber-covered earclip that swivels away from the earpiece to...

Distinct separation between musical instruments

Bass lacks detail, high frequencies sound tinny, the overall sound is too bright, they're uncomfortable to wear

The poor audio quality of these headphones, combined with the uncomfortable design, doesn't make them desirable. There are better portable headphones on the market.

Razer Pro|Tone m250

The Pro|Tone m250s are a decent set of headphones for joggers or those on the move, and a good substitute for those who can't wear buds.

An alternative for those who can't stand bud headphones ; Stylish ; Unlikely to come off when jogging

Very short cable ; Someone sitting next to you will be able to hear everything you do ; Tonally a bit too sharp

Overall the Pro|Tone m250s are good, especially for the price, but a longer cable and a better ear clamping mechanism would make them even better. If you can't stand bud headphones but don't like the idea of traipsing around with huge muffs, these are...

Bought a pair myself. The poor packaging of this earphone is such that the foam of the R is depressed and when i took it out it started to flake and fall off, and the L is pressed against the R's cable, causing a deep line across the foam. Bass can be...
