Review: Samsung HM7000 Bluetooth Headset - You'll Still Look Like A... You Know. But It Works Great

Basically, if you buy the HM7000, you're spending $100 (well, $90 on Amazon ) on something for phone calls, unless you really like Vlingo. But it's $100 well-spent on those phone calls, because that's what the HM7000 is very, very good at. And you get...

Never really worked

The retail package included a QuickStart Guide which noted that a full version of the manual was available at samsung.com/support in a PDF version. The Samsung site, however, does not acknowledge this item at all, and has no online support for it....

Looks great. Light weight. Easy to set up. Gets great reviews for call quality. Many included ear gels in clear and black; and 2 over-ear hooks (1 clear/1 black) ; Samsung provided for the cost of returning it via UPS

Never established a voice connection, though it did pair well to several devices. After about 8 hours of ownership, while trying to get it to actually function as a voice connection to my smartphone, it stopped making any sound whatever, including any...

Great Audio

Overall, a really good unit which does what it's supposed to do - make clear calls without others repeatedly asking you to repeat what you said.

Great audio quality for others; very good audio quality for the caller. People have actually asked if I'm calling from my office, without realizing that I was calling from my car while driving

Ear piece fitting is not optimal. The in-ear holder is not the most stable - the long arm of the unit may weigh it down a bit. I have taken to using the in-ear piece combined with the over-the-ear piece. Using this combo has made it quite comfortable,...

too hard to remove from dock

The dock/case with battery charging is a good idea. They needed to make it tight in order to force the metal contacts to touch when the case moved around. But there's probably other ways to doing that without making the headset so hard to remove. If I...

Sounds good

The headset fits really tightly into the dock thing. It's really hard to remove the headset without accidentally hitting the call button. I have to pull it out by the ear plug part, and it feels like I'm going to break it

Works great!

Beware if you are planning on using this to use a NEXUS 7 as a Wifi phone w/o a carrier (roaming at home/work/Starbucks etc.). The current version of Skype checks the proximity of the Bluetooth device and causes a very choppy connection.

Good microphone and earpiece sound quality

Nice Headset

Lightweight, you barely know that it is there ; Sound is great - nice and clear. Apparently, my voice is very clear to people I am speaking too, which has always been the biggest downfall on other headsets ; Charging case is okay ; Pairing with my...

Charging case isn't big enough to close and charge with the ear hook attached to the headset

Great Bluetooth

I have owned this for 6 months and like it so much I bought it for my girl friend. I have had Blue Ant, Jawbone and Plantronic. This is as good or better. If you experience connectivity issues turn off your wifi.

Excellent noise cancellation ; clear sound, good volume ; Small and light weight ; easy to connect ; Charging case is convenient ; Has both in ear and over ear ability

Forget the Samsung software app, I own a Galaxy S2 and it does not work at all ; The on off switch is awkward when you forget where it is
