A good-quality headset for a good price

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Very good

I'm happy with this item. It works well, but perhaps the mic is a little /too/ sensitive. When I'm using voice-activated, as opposed to PTT, I have to turn the sensitivity down in my app to it's lowest setting in order to not pick up all background...

low profile ; good sound ; good mic ; in-line controls ; short mic

not wireless ;) ; mic is maybe a little too sensitive

Best phone headset I've had so far

The 2.5mm cables seem just a touch fragile, the cable sheathing/insulation is very lightweight/malleable which is great for comfort fit and handling but will it be tough enough to withstand normal desk usage of pulling in and out of jacks..

Tiny, practically weightless, and sleek-looking .. can plug into multiple computers AND the 2.5mm jack on my VOIP phones. Sound quality is first rate, others say I sound great on same system I used other headsets with negative comments. Once in...

I have small ear canal so earbud does not sit inside my ear, a bit uncomfortable to put on and get into position. The ear clip goes above the ear, which hits my glasses.. the earclip on my other Plantronics phones fit under the ear (great great design)...

Nice headset!

Long cable, Very clear headphone and mic, the cable can be shortened by pulling the plug above teh volume button which I think will be handy if you just need to use the headset as a speaker with laptops(The cable length shortens to about 2-3 feet)....

None I can think of so far

ddWhy is this rated so high

still confused about how this got good reviews

none, really... I guess it has okay voice

no way to adjust, it fits or it doesn't. For me, it doesn't. Terrible raspy audio, bulky design so it's not portable, and I could have bought a cheapo for better. In fact, I got a free one with a digital camera I just bought, love it a lot more

Not comfortable for everyone

Newegg doesn't allow refunds on this product. I would look at a product that is more ergonomic and comfortable. It looks like the Plantronics CS55, but it's one size fits all earpiece without any kind of cushion make this unpleasant to use.

It's cheap, long cord, and it looks decent

The earpiece can be very painful. It uses a very thick, hard rubber that is not very flexible. It is not a minor irritation like some other headsets have from hours of use, these hurt right from the beginning ; The microphone is not very sensitive, so...

Well worth the price.

This may not be right for those who absolutely have to have sound on both ears, but for people who don't mind, it's perfect. I've been looking for compact one-sided headsets for a while, especially one that didn't have to have a headband that would...

Great for voice chat on Skype, as said by amacleod. Sensitive enough mic for voices to be heard, even whispers. It's also not too sensitive that background noises are heard. Comfortable around ear, including bud. Lightweight. Looks nice. Great cord...

Ear bud is a bit bigger than average. Built in volume-control is a bit useless, and it's heavy enough to pull at your ear piece which could create excess noise; fortunately it has a clip on it, but it can be bothersome to clip and unclip it to and from...

Good for Skype, bad for gaming

I bought this headset for Skype, so it's great for that. For voice-enabled games, though, where I want to have the speakers turned on, it's totally unusable.

Lightweight, clear sound. Inexpensive

Horrible feedback when used with regular speakers. Also, it's a little tough to fit over my earlobe alongside my glasses
