Why aren't headphones built with wires detachable at both ends? Yeah, we know why. It would be nice if headphones had some kind of uniform durability rating that we could search by. Til then, it's trial and error, just the way they like it, I guess?

Flimsy, impossible to repair wires. When I was a kid, you could fix a pair of headphone wires with plastic scissors and scotch tape. First, my stupid cat bit through them in the blink of an eye. I was ready to throw up my hands but the exposed wires...
