Sony MDR-1R

The Sony MDR-1R is a powerful, clean-performing pair of headphones that's comfortable to wear and lends itself well to multiple genres of music.

Solid audio performance with strong bass, crisp highs, and no distortion at top volumes. Extremely comfortable. Comes with two detachable cables, one with inline microphone and remote control.

No included headphone jack adapters.

At $300, the Sony MDR-1R delivers powerful audio with focus on overall balance. It could use a bit more high-mid presence, and bass lovers will wish there was more low-end boosting, but the sound signature comes close to the audiophile ideal of flat...

Sony MDR-1R review

At a price of $300, Sony's MDR-1R Premium Headphones are meant for the luxury headphone market. The elegant, distinctive design features large, plush earpads that apply just the right amount of pressure to your ears, and design details like the...

The Sony MDR-1R Premium Headphones ' full-size, over-the-ear design and supple leather earpads lend a luxurious feel to an extraordinarily comfortable pair of headphones you can wear for hours at a time.

They don't fold flat for compact storage.

It's true that Sony's MDR-1R headphones come with a lofty price tag, but if you're searching for highly accurate-sounding headphones with style and substance, they deserve your attention.

Sony MDR-1R Review

Designed with bass in mind, the Sony MDR-1R headphones reproduce the all the lows of your music library. From the high sensitivity to the low frequency response, these bass headphones deliver some intense beats. Despite their plastic exterior and...

The Sony MDR-1R's excellent sound quality and light convenient styling make them one of the best bass headphones on the market.

The on-ear design doesn't lend itself to heavy bass presentation, and the soft carrying case doesn't quite provide adequate protection.

The Sony MDR-1Rs are a great choice for deep bass headphone because of their range of sound quality and light design.

Superb design ; Excellent comfort ; Good bass management, overall sound quality
