Sony MDR-AS100W Active review

Although the headphone market continues to burgeon with new models, it can be surprisingly tough to find a decent, fitness-friendly pair. A few companies, such as Sennheiser , have stepped up to the plate with sport-branded earphones, which feature...

The Sony MDR-AS100W Active Headphones feature a lightweight design that stays in place during activity. The style is understated and the extras are handy.

The Sony MDR-AS100W Active Headphones won't be comfortable for all users, and they don't fold down for compact storage. Sound quality suffers if you can't get a proper seal with the ear.

If you're looking for a lightweight, headband-style headphone for the gym, the Sony MDR-AS100W Active Headphones fit the bill, but comfort could be an issue for some users.

Good sound, but at a painful price

Accurate bass, moderate mid-range, great isolation

Supremely uncomfortable

Sony’s MDRAS100W headphones are marketed as 'Sports Active', but we found them too uncomfortable to wear for anything more than short bursts. Sound quality is good and they block out a lot of background noise, but make sure you try them on before...

Great Active Headphones!

"I have purchased several different styles of headphones in search of a set that would provide both great sound and a fit that would allow me to just forget about them when I am running. Every pair I have tried have successfully avoided staying in my...

Very Secure, No Movement

Could become slightly uncomfortable after prolonged use. The headband is a little wider on my head than I prefer

Brilliant sound

These headphones take some getting used to but are well worth the effort. The sound is fantastic. When you first put them on/in your ears you feel like a total virgin, wondering if its in properly or if your doing it right! But when they are in right...

Excellent well designed product

Bargain at the price. These do what Sony say they do. Just make sure that they are fully in your ear & the sound is great.

excellent headphones bringing my iPod Classic to life

I bought these because my usual Sony phones although giving great sound are useless in the gym because they keep falling out of my ears. My workout time is spent pushing the buds back inside my ears.
