Editor's note: We have changed the rating in this review to reflect recent changes in our rating scale. Click here to find out more. Sony's MDR-E827G headphones ($19.99 list) are basic earbud models featuring the company's yellow-and-gray sports...

Lightweight and compact sports design; includes wind-up carrying case; water resistant; can be used with or without included foam earpiece covers; gold-plated miniplug.

Mediocre sound; loose in-ear fit; doesn't include extension cord.

The MDR-E827G earbuds may look sporty, but they didn't fare well during our sweat sessions.

I wish I still had these ; Uh...they're made in yellow only

In a word: These buds are mediocre performers for a mediocre price. I guess that they would suit only those people who only want a pair of yellow-coloured earbuds without a headband--but everyone else, you can do better.

Sony MDRE827G
