Sony MDR-EX90LP Review

The X-factor of Sony MDR-EX90LP is its excellent clarity, the minute details which it covers and the effective bass response. Along with all these, its black and silver design is something which is going to grab the eye-balls

The problem with Sony MDR-EX90LP is its silicone ear fittings which might not fit your ear properly. Apart from that the bad news is that it doesn't have any cable extender which will support you at home listening

Thanks Sony for MDR-EX90LP Well, the most exciting thing about Sony MDR-EX90LP is the price tag attached with it. It only costs $100 and the good thing about this ear buds is it gives you an enriching musical experience.

Sony MDR-EX90LP Stereo Headphones

iLounge readers and editors have for years considered Sony's MDR-EX series of in-canal earphones to be amongst the better replacement options for Apple's iPod pack-ins - sold for $50 or less, the company's EX71s and 81s were amongst the first low-end...

A hybrid metal, plastic, and silicone rubber earphone design that delivers better clarity than Sony's lower-priced MDR-EX series offerings, complete with a small leather case and plastic cord management insert. Design fits in both outer ear and ear...

Large earpieces provide less of a seal, and thereby less isolation, than both same-priced competitors and company's earlier designs. Flatter sound and less detail than peer in-canal earphones ; impressive mostly by comparison with same company's...

I bought a set in December and I love them. At first I thought they were lacking in the mid range area compared to my MDRE888's but after tweaking the audio properties through iTunes a little they rock. They don't totally block outside sound but I...

Sony MDR-EX90LP

The Sony MDR-EX90LP earbuds sound as good as their price tag suggests, but there's nothing particularly exciting about them. They're just good headphones with an understated design.

Excellent clarity and detail ; Decent bass response ; Understated black-and-silver design meshes well with most gadgets

Included silicone ear fittings don't always create a seal with the ear ; No cable extender for at-home listening

In general, sound quality provided by the MDR-EX90LP earphones is superior. All genres of music sound equally good, making these 'phones a great choice for a wide variety of listeners. The MDR-EXX90LPs offer great high-end detail and clarity, and we...

Sony MDR-EX90LP

The EX90s offer a warm, well-rounded performance, with the balance between deep, full bass and subtle trebles pretty much spot on. They can't match the presence and separation of the Etymotic or Shure earbuds, but the EX90s sound great nonetheless.

Warm bassy sound, good noise isolation

Audio quality isn't quite top notch

Better than Bose In Ear Headphones

"I went to these after my Bose In Ear's had a broken wire. These are nothing less than superb, check the specs. They handle more power than the more expensive Sony In Ear's at half the price with the same construction. Compared to my Bose the sound...

Worth way more than the price

Needs a wire clip and more comfortable ear plugs

Outstanding Audio and Comfort

"I'm an audiophile, and I also do a ton of outdoor work. This headset is by far my favorite set of buds. I've used Sennheiser, Bose and so forth, this is the best trade for price and quality that I've had. The different bud tips allow a really nice...

Returned Bose got these Thank You SONY no return necessary

Awesome. They are far superior to the Bose Triports, and the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 2, my last set of earbuds. The Sony MDR-EX71SL's even outperformed both aforementioned products. The Sony MDR-EX90LP's are obviously and markedly an improvement over...

Buy these now. Best out there and under a bill

Sony's flagship again

I have used quite a number of Sony earphones, namely E837, E838, E888, E931and EX90. While EX90 is the most expensive one (HKD$668), I think it is worth the money.

Sony's canalphone twist pays off

A first glance at these 'phones reveals the MDR's trademark asymetrical left and right wire lengths, the left being shorter in a design made to allow the wires to be worn behind the listener's head. Upon closer inspection, though, one sees that the 90s...

Combines the MDR series' fantastic bass with much-refined midrange and treble

Thin cords ultra tangly, may wear prematurely. Some users may want better sound
