Pretty nice

Their ok headphones. You can get better for more money, but if your looking for a decent set, perhaps for temporary use, then these are good.

Sit comfortably on your ears, decent-length cord, OK sound quality, Ive had em for years

Yes Ive had them for over 2 years, and the only problem ive really had is that the end of the cord that attaches to the actual headphones is really loose. Whenever i move it shifts and the sound crackles and dies in that ear. I have to pull the cord...

Ok, not great

CyberAcoustics makes better sounding speakers, so why can't Sony make better sounding ones?

Product works as expected. Nice long cord so your not always popping it out of the jack

Mediocre sound quality that is typical of Sony products

Amazing Value

I hate to repeat myself, but for the price, you can't go wrong. They're durable, have good sound, and are comfortable even for people with glasses. And they don't get in the way of my long hair. Definitely buy a few pairs and try them out!

I bought my first pair of these years ago, and the sound quality is great, just what I would expect from Sony. They last a long time for their price, mine tend to last about a year before a channel fades or the earpads fall off, and for the price,...

They do wear out a bit more quickly than the $200 studio headphones, if you could even call that a con, considering how low priced they are. Over a year of life per pair seems adequate to me

Excellent Value

I'm surprised that I'm the first reviewer...

I've been through three of these in the past three years (Ear pads eventually degrade), and all have provided nicely tuned, well balanced sound. Bass is resoundingly present, and the overall sound image is clean and quite distortion-free. Power...

Best headphones under [$]

I accidentally bought a pair of these first in 2001. Ever since I realized that they were the only headphones which last about 3 years (with heavy use). I've been buying a new pair every 2-3 years (left one at work, one at home). They are very comfy...

Outlast Everything

These came with a CD player 6 years ago. I have since moved to mp3 players, but I took the headphones along with me. Nothing harms them. I've walked in the pouring rain with music on and they were fine; I sleep with them on sometimes; they travel...

Sony MDR-G42LP Headphone

The Sony MDRG42LP's are an entry-level model into Sony's Streetsyle line. I only picked thiso ne up for comparison into some streetstyle 'phones by Philips. These were the worst by far. The sound quality is best described as lazy, weak, fake,...
