Turtle Beach Z300

A compact, wireless gaming headset with virtual 7.1 surround sound

Good overall sound quality ; Wireless audio has long range ; Virtual 7.1 surround works well for games and films ; Still works when being charged ; Bluetooth features are really useful for connecting to a phone

No way to quickly switch between surround and stereo modes ; Microphone doesn't fully detach ; Simply too pricey for what you get

As for the sound system itself, this headset uses a single 50mm driver in each earcup and combines this with digital processing to create all its various tones and 7.1 surround sound effects. While genuine multi-channel surround headsets are definitely...

Turtle Beach Ear Force Z300 review

The Turtle Beach Z300 offers wireless surround sound at a mid-level price

Excellent audio ; Good Bluetooth range ; Bundled accessories

PC wireless range isn't great ; Too many controls on headset ; Switching sources in Windows

Turtle Beach Ear Force Z300 Wireless Headphones: Australian Review

Buying a pair of gaming headphones is a complicated process. Wired or wireless? Closed or open earcups? Stereo or surround sound? Integrated or detachable microphone? Turtle Beach's top PC gaming headset, the Ear Force Z300 Wireless, is chock-full of...

Turtle Beach’s Z300 Wireless headset is one of the better gaming headsets I’ve tested, and one of the better surround sound headphones as well. Their feature-packed design should draw in some buyers looking for the latest and greatest, too. This...

Good but broke way to fast.

Would 4-5 stars if not for breaking to fast.

Good sound and mic. Comfortable.

Adjustable plastic side piece broke about half a year after purchase, no matter how heavy a user I may be this should not happen. Sounds from when you hit a button on the headset override all other sounds.

I Love This Headset

I have never used a set of headphones that sounded great and that made my life at the office more convenient. I love them.

I absolutely love these headphones. I have been actively using them for about a year. Today, they look and function just as great as they did on day one. I use them in an office environment to blast music while I write code to zone out from the rest of...

• If you are doing something with periods of silence, it will auto shutoff and you cannot prevent it • Voice prompts occur for almost all functions and can be disruptive. (Mute doesnt have it which is nice) • Mic is extremely sensitive. If people...

Bunk for the Buck

I was unbelievably disappointed with these headphones. I was a fan of the TB x11's for their comfort and realtime mic monitoring. (They didn't sound too great, but I could wear them all day.) These though, for almost $300? Disgusting. I'd recommend...

Reasonably solid construction. Bluetooth works well enough.

COMFORT Very heavy. (Heaviest headphones I've ever worn) Very strong clamping pressure (uncomfortable, like it's trying to crush your head) Shallow ear cups. (Don't be fooled by the picture, the can is mostly electronics, no room for your ears.)...

loved it until it broke

Great sound and Microphone. Software and updates all good.

Adjustable plastic side broke after one year. Totally unacceptable for a $180 head set!

$39 headset for $200

Just skip these. I got them on a black friday sale for $89 and even for that price I'm highly disappointed. I love the PX3, except for the fact that when it powers off, the whole thing has to be reset to make the microphone work again. That's the only...

1.) Sound quality is good for games 2.) 2 simultaneous inputs 3.) Mic is not as problematic as with older models

1.) Extremely short wireless range 2.) Annoying, low quality voice prompts that stop your audio when they play 3.) Cheap, problematic USB receiver that loses connection when you're 12 inches away from it. 4.) Shallow, poor sound quality for music. The...

Good but don't last

I contacted Turtle beach and they did a RMA for a new set but when the new set arrived it was the Turtle Beach I60's. I wasn't sure about the boom-less MIC on the I60's but now I would not trade back to the Z300's

The sound was good... that's about all i can say for the pros

The transmitter went out within a month of having this headset and Turtle Beach didn't have any transmitters in stock
