XtremeMac FS1 High Definition Headphones

The XtremeMac FS1 High Definition Headphones are a boon to those who love explosive bass sound.

Strong bass response. Good efficiency.

Overall sound is pinched and highs are distant. Silicone tips didn't stay in our ears.

ExtremeMac FS1

It's been our experience that you get what you pay for, more often than not. The ExtremeMac FS1 earbuds, however, fall into the “not” territory. The $150 for-sale sign hanging on these little buggers easily qualifies them as the most expensive...

Diverse collection of plugs; cool carrying case

Passive-aggressive bass response

But there’s one lesson Etymotic could learn from ExtremeMac: There are more than two sizes of ears in the human race, and ExtremeMac provides no fewer than six different earplugs: two foam sets and four silicone. We found a foam set that rendered the...

XtremeMac FS1 High Definition Earbud Headpones - iPod Accessory Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

Most earbud reviews compare the features and sound quality of the buds to other, comparable products. Well, this is not that kind of review. To be perfectly honest, the most expensive pair of earbuds I have ever owned previously were Apple's own, which...

Fantastic audio quality ; effective noise reduction ; compatible with standard devices without requiring extra gizmos

Expensive, though not unreasonable considering the quality

Usually when people apply the term "high resolution" to something that doesn't actually have a resolution, such as perceived audio quality, I automatically assume it belongs in the "meaningless buzzword" category. However, "high resolution" actually...

While the FS1s are an excellentsounding option for replacing an iPod's standard earbuds or for any headphone listening, they fall short of some of the stiff competition they face. At issue first and foremost are the interchangeable cushions, or...

XtremeMac FS1 High Definition Earphones

If you've followed my reviews here on pocketnow, then you know that I've done a number of reviews of different earphones. You also know that I'm

Very clear mid and upper range sound ; Eartips in a variety of sizes and styles included in package ; Sleek

Bullet eartips not very comfortable ; Flanged eartips don't isolate sound too well ; Not as many options as nearest competitor ; Bullet tips don't fit seamlessly on earphones ; Pricey

I really like these earphones. I tend to use the foam eartips most frequently. I am especially impressed with the sonic quality of the FS1s. As I mentioned, the only ones close were the Etymotic ER-6 and ER-6i earphones. The FS1 earphones have better...

XtremeMac FS1 High Definition Earphones

Many moons ago, we looked at a pair of sub-$200 earphones called EM3s (iLounge rating: B+) from a company called Future Sonics, which we praised at the time for sound quality, particularly their bass response. Other than their price, which our reviewer...

Attractively designed headphones which, when paired with proper included (foam) earpieces, perform music with rich, detailed bass - a noticeable step up from bass-heavy phones at lower price levels. The right foams will provide good isolation from...

Many included rubber earpieces are uncomfortable by standards of competing products, and/or produce far less impressive sound than the foams. Bass-heavy sound will be better for some listeners than others. Price is closer to Future Sonics' original...

Now I could be wrong but I got the EM3 on the say so of this site and have loved them alot. They are getting kind of worn out and the foam is not cheap. The fit thing was in trying to different foamies until I got the one that worked. I don't care if...

Xtreme Mac FS1 In earphones

Its been said before and I will say it again: the bundled earphones available with iPods suck. The sound of your iPod is WAY better than that. Even if you are not an audio enthusiast, it's a sin to not experience your music in its entirety. Thus the...

At Rs. 2490, the product is worth it. The drivers are seriously good quality; emanating a well timed, quite accurate frequency response. The wide assortment of sleeves are very useful in getting that perfect fit. Looks wise they are simple, but not...
