Philips Azur GC4630 Steam Glide Iron

It is really tiring to keep ironing on the clothes to remove the wrinkles and fetch great results. It becomes all the more troubling and tiring when you have to iron your clothes in the morning when you are actually getting late for the office. With...

Didn't last the distance -- dead in nine months

My wife bought this iron based on reviews. She is a home dressmaker and uses an iron most days. This iron did the job but didn't last -- it went for nine months then conked out. While it was going it ironed well -- great steam output. But it's not a...

Terrible

I have been using Philips Azur range iron for a long time, and my last one needed replacing after 9 yrs. I really like the sturdy few of the Philips iron and stayed with the Azur range for that reason. I must admit, it was a very good iron to start...

Great steam power, very sturdy. 2 year replacement warranty

I've had this iron for over 6 months and it is a powerful and efficient iron and has cut my ironing time down by half compared to my old iron. i'm surprised that someone would complain about the ionic button as once you know it's there you get used to...

steam is impressive! and generally I am very happy with the iron.

the soleplate seems to 'stick' on certain fabrics, sort of like static, would have prefered a stainless steel plate, it is also quite heavy.

Good iron, does the job nicely and heats up quickly

Quite heavy and can't really see that the 'ionic' steam makes much difference. Also think it's a bit hotter than my last iron as it has burned a couple of things

Bad

I have had this iron for over a year and don't think I would recommend you buy one. Look it is an ok Iron and the steam generation is great but I think the downfalls outway the advantages. My main gripe is that the ionic steam button on the underside...

The bad points are far outweighed by the good - you only have to go over an item once for the creases to come out, the weight allows the creases to be ironed on the 1st attempt therefore saving time and effort

it is slightly heavy it needs filling up with water quite regularly
