Down Then Line...

If I had not just happened to have 2 5-port PCI USB cards installed that each have 1 internal port, this device would be problematic at best... Maybe on the PC side there are spare USB connectors lying around on the motherboard, just waiting for...

Works perfectly once installed ; Fits into 3.5" bay smoothly ; Made a useless 100MB ZIP drive into a very useful card slot ; Good value for the money ; Smart, quiet little unit ; Very quick file transfers ; System Profiler under MAc OS X 10.4.11 had NO...

Never taken a B&W G3 apart before...? Good luck with that ; Included USB cables wires are NEEDLESSLY adapted for USB motherboard connectors.... useless for a G3 with USB 1.1/soldered on connectors ; Needing 2 USB inputs is one thing, not including ANY...

Wonderful Addition

Would have been nice to have a choice in cover color/finish.

I've had several less expensive add-ins, but this AFT is rock solid, and never fails to do what it's ask!

Bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Better than the Rosewill

I was even running it as an external unit for a little while as the item is fully enclosed.

Purchased this as a replacement for a Rosewill RCR-FD200 that I bought here about 6 months ago. I should of gotten this one in the first place.

No instructions or driver CD. Not that it's an issue as I am installing it on systems with XP or higher, but I could see this to be a problem for the novice. Needs 2 USB ports on a motherboard which may also be an issue for cheaper systems. The SD card...

The best 3.5" internal reader

I bought this when it was on sale a couple of years ago for my last computer. I've built a lot of machines for other people and have used some of the cheaper readers. The others are either much slower or the fit for cards (particularly SD cards) was...

Card fit, speed, seperate USB headers

Not Reliable

I like the idea of having USB connections on the back of the reader instead of being hard-wired - allows for more flexiblity with the installation.

Would only download a couple dozen files from my CF card before it stopped with some kind of error. It also seemed to corrupt the files on the card.
