Corsair Raptor K30 Gaming Keyboard Review

Earlier this year we looked at a couple of mechanical keyboards from Corsair, the K95 and the K70 and both performed well in our testing… adding another range of quality products to Corsairs ever expanding catalogue. Today on our test bench we will be...

The first thing which hit us about the K30 is that the styling is similar to the K50, it’s big brother, with raised keys exposing the rubber dome contact points and the black body finished off with the light grey panel running along the top of the...

Pretty good, but not flawless

Overall, if you can get it on sale, I'd say go for it. If some chipping paint is going to ruin it for you, maybe look elsewhere. It gets the job done, and has held up mechanically very well.

-Keyboard is responsive; rarely any issues in MOBAs or other instances of multiple simultaneous inputs -Red back-light and dedicated dimmer button are fantastic -Rubber dome keys give a great feel and all of them still function two years later...

-My biggest issue, and it's why I removed an egg, is that the paint is coming off of multiple keys on the left hand side, especially 'W', 'A', and 'D'. I believe the keyboard is still under warranty, but I don't want to go without a keyboard for the...

Awesome!!

Absolutely no regrets and I really researched. I am very OCD with research. Very happy. Nothing better in this price range. Big fan of Corsair after purchasing this keyboard, M65 mouse, and even one of their mouse pads.

Built my first pc that I will use for some gaming and work. Did not have the budget or need mechanical. Originally bought a ttesports commander prime for $35 on another site. It was a huge disappointment and sent it back. The feel and quality of this...

None at all.

Ghosting

It feels great to type on.

The ghosting will be the reason I don't use this keyboard for very long unfortunately.

Macros good, quality average

I think after using a keyboard that isn't a laptop that I now appreciate ergonomic keyboards. Overall, compared the current market on backlit, membrane style keyboards, this one is pretty average.

The macros and the background lighting are excellent and the primary reason I bought this keyboard. The full size number pad is nice if you insert data a lot. I expect keyboards to have media keys and volume keys these days. Keys are not wearing off.

Quality of typing feels even less than those cheap, basic keyboards that come with computer bundles. Background lights could get brighter, but this is just aesthetics. My mouse outshines this keyboard.

A Decent, Entry Level Gaming Keyboard

It's a decent entry level gaming keyboard. However for a slightly larger investment, there are much better options out there.

Adjustable backlit keyboard; Separate colored WSAD keys. helpful for playing most first person shooters (Counter Strike, Quake, etc etc) - Considering the keyboard is not mechanical, the keys still feel as though they have decent action to them.

Rubbery switches, don't exactly seem durable - The keys are placed a lot closer then most gaming keyboards I have used in the past, and it's taken some getting used to. The legs under the keyboard tend to collapse and don't seem particularly sturdy. No...

Corsair CH-9000043-NA

After using a cheap keyboard from an old pc for years I expected this to be a step up. I was very happy at first, but within days the D key started squeaking and sometimes it sticks. Now a week later WASD all have that issue as well as being hard to...

Unique design makes it easy to clean. Love the style. Keys felt great when I first got it. Worked right away without needing software.

Keys seem to have worn out in days.

Horrible Ghosting

Nice looks and feels.

Horrible ghosting, can't even type consecutive upper case letters holding "Shift", you can imagine with a password, you have to type it slowly if it involves holding shift.

Corsair CH-9000043-NA

If you're building a gaming PC and need to adhere to a budget, you really can't go wrong with this keyboard. Corsair is fast becoming my favourite peripheral manufacturer on top of already making some of the greatest cases, coolers, PSU's.. you name it.

Fantastic keyboard for the money. Got this for $49.99 on sale. Really can't go wrong with that price point for what you're getting. Build quality is exceptional; definitely what you expect from Corsair. It's no K70, and it's not mechanical, but for...

None so far. Just wish it came in white.

Best keyboard for the price

Je recommande ce clavier pour tout le monde! I recommend this keyboard to anyone!

Très bon clavier pour jouer ou pour aller sur Internet. Il est très beau et bien conçu. Le clavier donne un air robuste et le plastique est de bonne qualité. Le rétro-éclairage est également très bon avec les différents modes possible. Dans le noir il...
