Ideazon Merc

Ideazon's previous product, the ZBoard, sported interchangeable $20 keysets with custom labels for different games. The company's latest effort, the Merc, eschews that approach in favor of a customizable one-size-fits-all design.

Sports three programmable hot keys, and the preloaded profile keys are nifty

Begs for a backlight, and lacks the USB hub found on the original ZBoard

We still haven’t found the perfect keyboard that blends work and play into a single design, but Ideazon’s Merc comes close.

MERC Gaming Keyboard

In what seems to be a sudden attack of common sense, Ideazon has just created what amounts to the perfect gaming keyboard.

Ideazon MERC ZXP-1000 Black USB Wired Ergonomic Gaming Keyboard

I'd recommend this to anyone that games and wants to get a decent keyboard. I would sure hate to go back to a normal keyboard to game with.

I love this keyboard so much, I've had no problems with it at all. I haven't had any problem with they key faces rubbing off anywhere on this board either

Only downside I can even think of is the condensed right side of the board (the number pad combined with the 'Home', 'Page Up/Down' keys...but I can put up with that for the extra left side

Great Keybord

Great Deal!!! Thanks Newegg

Great keyboard if you play World of Warcraft like I do ; I highly recommend this keyboard for WOW . Works great and costs alot less then the key lit version which I also own. This keyboard has taken a lot of abuse without a hiccup and is a lot lightert...

Good Product

Wish new egg would not allow those that dont purchase products here post reviews.

Solid keyboard with a nice pad for gaming. This is just as good the Z board but with out the issue of changing trays and trays breaking

SteelSeries web site is not strong but you can get the drivers you need from them. Plain corrigated box with everything thrown in it. It looks new.. Hope its new.. Freight cost was a touch to high

Play Games? Get This.

I own the merc stealth and this keyboard. If you don't want to shell the 80-100 for the stealth, this has all the good features for a darn good price. I would suggest looking for the stealth version, it has some more excellent features like usb/audio...

The keyboard features programmable buttons which for games like Oblivion and EVE Online, are invaluable ; The WASD setup and button placements are all easily reachable even with small hands ; The size of the keyboard is no bigger than a traditional...

To conserve space, they added the number pad on a toggle button to the right of the keyboard, and occasionally you will accidentally press the CLOSE button instead of the "/" button and close your applications x_x ; It's not the merc stealth edition ;...

great board

i wish there were some F-keys up around the number keys. i would rather have those than media keys, they are useless to me. i use those in game also, now i have a long reach.

great board for gaming and typing. i use this board on my lap and lean it against something when not in use. i have had it for about 3 years with no probs at all

to me the software is very buggy. takes too long to load, if not in an admin user area does not load (if i remember correctly). so i do not use the software! i assign keys in-game

Good - Better then others

I read some bat reviews like some complain how bad the board is. That stops working. Well The only problem I had when the Vista come out there was no support for the board but the same problem was with any other company that makes gaming keyboards. I...

This is for games. The keys can be reassign Like I personally hate the left hand window Key. When I play some games and accidentally hit that key the game will minimize or even freeze. So I just assign the key as Space

Numeric Keypad mixed with other standard Keys like home, Del. ETC so you have a choice Numeric Keypad or the other functions ; I don't use a numeric keys as much so I use standard DEL. Home ETC keys

Nice keyboard, bad interface

Just get a standard type keyboard with a wrist pad and a Ideazon FANG or just get a Zboard. I gave it a 3 because it is not an absolute loss, just the inconvenience of some button placements.

The keyboard is a nice with the buttons not so rocky firm, definantly doesn't feel cheap. The gaming buttons on the left are a nice touch for various games, like Counter Strike and Halo and the shortcut keys work splendidly

Various important keys, like delete, Page Up, Page Down are only functional when you turn off the Num Lock. A very bad design and very awkward

Controller May Price higher

Media controls are a plus too, no batteries tee he tee he. You dished what for a what and you gonna chump on a nice ride?

I get higher jumps! It is a friendly design, that has taught this console junky how to ride on a game pc. Cost is relative to a wired 360 hook up

Buy the one with a mouse for a marginal amount, and optimal reward for the fiat dough ; Vendors I demand new games now
