never buy a belkin keyboard

Waste of money even though I only paid $40 for this.

wireless, programmable to function with other things like your tv, built in mouse

This keyboard is nice when you first get it... but after a while it just gets worse and worse. They designed it so the buttons push down on little rubber contacts which eventually at one point begin to get sticky and make it much harder to type....

Cheap alternative to more expensive integrated mouse keyboard combos

I have changed the rechargeable batteries on here to make sure it wasn't just a dead battery. No change in low battery warning. Even switched to alkaline batteries (not connected to cradle) and get the same warning. Belkin's tech support sucks, but I...

Works. Mouse is easy to navigate. Great all in one solution for your living room

On Windows Vista, I constantly get a "low battery warning" every 5-10mins. Seems like a Vista issue, and other sources online support it ; Won't work on your lap if your laying down, signal between keyboard a receiver becomes week ; Cradle connection...

works well, could work better

It's a better mouse than a keyboard, but the keyboard works fine for occasionally filling web forms, renaming files, etc. A good product, but maybe a little pricey.

Pretty much indispensable for my living room setup. Works well as a handheld mouse for browsing, with a keyboard when you need it. Works fine at 20 feet. I'm pretty good about placing it in the dock when not using, so battery has never been an issue

Keys are small, sticky, sloooow to type with. Once the O key stopped working for a while; now it works fine. Several times a week usb cable must be unplugged and replugged. The extra hotkeys are difficult to program

Great for media center

Newegg may replace it if, but i believe belkin has discontinued support.

Keyboard/mouse/remote are all together. Range is better than my old microsoft wireless keyboard. Small

I have had the keys quit working just like other users. To fix just take it apart and wipe with a dry cloth between the layers of plastic that make up the circuit board that the keys press together. Works fine again

Excellent MythTV Companion

I haven't tried to get the keyboard's extended keys to be recognized under Linux, but that doesn't mean that they can't be.

Zero configuration for standard use under Linux. Range is excellent. Can control a whole range of A/V devices through it's IR port (uses RF for communication with the base station). Rechargeable batteries. Small form factor

Programming the device codes for the A/V IR remote requires hooking the device up to a Windows or Mac box. Keys feel a little cheesy, but not a deal breaker. Belkin does not specifically support Linux

pretty good, with annoying caveats

This was the only HTPC-targeted wireless keyboard I found while I was shopping around 6 months ago. Overall a decent product but I am keeping my eyes out for something better.

The thumb mouse takes a bit getting used to but not as nice as IBM's UltraNav button on ThinkPads. Programmable AV keys are great but every AV function is accessible only after 2-3 keypresses (procedural tasks like mode switching, context selection, etc)

The keys are super stiff, don't expect to fly at 100 wpm on this thing. Also, the keyboard tends to become virtually disconnected several times throughout the day (non responsive keypresses), which only a manual plug/unplug from the USB port could fix....

Not Too Shabby!!

Unlike the other reviewer who says that it will not change the inputs for your AV receiver. All you have to do is learn that IR command into the keyboard and you are as good as gold!! I would recommend the product even though the price is a little...

Nice solid construction. Good range. IR lets you learn all of the commands you need for your AV products. Keys have a nice tactile feel to them

I suppose the charging base is a nice option, but it would be nice if there were a usb dongle for communication rather than the whole base needing to be plugged in. would be ok if it fit in an 19" opening but it is a little too long

Not bad

When charge is low, keyboard presses are randomly interpreted. Mouse control is much better on SpecResearch 01027 RF Wireless Mini Keyboard with Optical Trackball Mouse.

Not bad looking. Good range. Very Few key presses lost. Only a few flaws to "nit pick

Bright LEDs. Stiff keys. Docking/recharger/ten key base has cheap contacts to RF keyboard that bent in on first use and give erratic power to charge keyboard. Not a great price

BELKIN MediaPilot F8E838 Blue 111 Normal Keys 18 Function Keys RF Wireless Standard Keyboard

Finally, a keyboard intended for HTPC use. Has good range and wide field of use. Keyboard itself is RF, but comes with an Infrared port and can be programmed to be a remote control for your other devices. Rechargable base station is nice and comes with...

LEDs on the rechargable base station are very bright, which can be bad in a home theater. The arrow keys and NUM pad enter key on the base station are sticky or don't work very well

Great keyboard

I have used this product for over a year now and I have never been happier with a computer part. (FPW2005 is amazing too) In the year i have owned this keyboard not once has the battery failed or not worked for me. not once have i lost reception with...

the Only thing not PERFECT about this keybaord is the program button next to F1 throws me off when playing games cause i think its F1 and every once in a while the keyboard will disconnect exactly as if i unplugged the usb cable and plugged it in...
