Kensington PilotBoard Laser Wireless Desktop

A stylish keyboard and mouse set, packed with extra features.

Attractive design, lots of control keys and buttons

Limited freedom to re-program keys

The PilotBoard is certainly capable - it's only disappointment is that the PilotBoard doesn't give you as much freedom to reprogram the function keys as the rival Microsoft offering.

Love this set

I was really disappointed with my Saitek keyboard for my gaming system. Now that I've used this for 10 month's at work I'm going to buy another set for my gamr and give my keyboard and mouse to a friend. This set is much more preferable. I hate having...

Tactile feelis very good, built in palm rest, multi-media keys that work even in Vista. The mouse is awsome, I love the rubber ribbed edges. I actually like this set better than my dedicated Saitek keyboard and Logitec laser gaming mouse. Battery life...

There was a period of time when the keyboard chewed through batteries, but as it turns out I believe it was a bad package.

Macintosh Users Are Hassled!

If you are a Mac user, do not buy this keyboard. You're better off buying a real Apple wireless keyboard. Kensington betrayed Apple users on this one, and I happen to be an Apple user. If you are a Windows user, this is an excellent wireless keyboard....

Great signal strength! 30 feet! It truly does reach across the room. Well designed for Windows Users.

Apple+Command key does not oblige Apple fan boys. Hassle to use Apple+SPACE BAR, because the keys are not conveniently next door to one another like one a real Apple keyboard. Mac users are betrayed w/ actions requiring spotlight, application scrolling...

Good Product

Comfortable, great functionality buttons for media. Comfortable mouse with many functions as well. Spot on tracking.

Be wary of other 2.4GHZ devices including wireless LAN because it may cause poor connectivity from time to time.

Love it

gonna get a second one for home as this is my work setup. I haven't had any interference and the batteries have lasted a month so far, nice compared to my Logitec which needs a recharge every other day...

Keybard has great feel to it. Has all kinds of "higher" function buttons and doodads. The mouse is awesome, the rubber grips and invisible laser. Bought a Saitek keyboard which just sucked, this is magnitudes better. Oh, and both the keyboard and the...

The tacticle feel is so good that I have to make sure to press hard enough as compare to my Saitek and Logitech. I actually like this feel better but my fingers have become lazy.

SoSo

I ended up going with a Dell bluetooth keyboard & mouse set for less coin and much better range & comfort

Some nice features, comfortable

Range not great, a bit pricey for the quality, one of the accessary buttons were misaligned and didn't work properly.

Kensington K05-1210

Worked great for a couple months. Scroll wheel no longer works and the software that comes with it does not work very well.

Very poor wireless mouse/keyboard combo

One would think that a company like Kensington would have testers working out bugs like this. Obviously this is not the case.

I picked this keyboard/mouse combo because it had the explorer buttons on the mouse that I wanted, and the the volume controls on the keyboard seemed like a nice bonus. The rubberized grip on the mouse also feels very nice.

It takes 4-5 very quick clicks on the mouse to get it to register a double-click. The keyboard will stop responding at random and will not work again until after pulling the batteries and the reboot. When it does work, random key-clicks will not...

Decent not great

I've had no connection problems. So far, 2 months, have had no battery problems. Doesn't have battery meter though.

It was a good price, nice looking, decent feel on the keys and it works well with my Mac.

Mouse is a little different than what I had been used to. It's larger than previous and there are button on the left only and none on the right which I also wasn't used to.
