Charles Moore Reviews The Kensington SlimType Keyboard for Mac

The most comfortable freestanding flat Mac keyboard I've used yet

The Kensington SlimType (which is made in China) has a very high standard of finish and appears to be well-constructed. The keys have a precision-positive action and operate with a muted but satisfying "click." Despite its svelte dimensions, this...

Great keyboard. Super quiet

The keyboard is really nice and very quiet while typing. A couple of minuses; texture on keys is wearing off pretty quickly. I've had the keyboard for about a month and the space key among others are pretty well smooth. Another is that previous...

This is a really nice keyboard

Received mine in perfect condition. Very nice keyboard and especially for that price. It's quiet compared to some other keyboards and it has what I've been calling laptop type keys. My favorite. The only thing that I would of prefered on this keyboard...

Nice but

Keyboard feels great, performs well, and the price is fine. Just received my second one, and the pop up legs on the bottom of the keyboard are missing. So right now it stands at a 50% defect rate, and returning stuff from online purchases is such a...

As expected

I've been using this keyboard for a week now; it works as it should. The keys are quiet, smooth, and it gives almost the exact feeling as though I'm typing on a laptop except that the keys don't feel thin an cheap. It looks clean, and all the keys are...

Good Value KB

Got this after browsing for a bit, nice slim keyboard, keys are soft to the touch, very quiet, nice value for the price, would recommend to anyone.

Great mac replacement keyboard

if you need a replacement KB for a mac, this is a great choice.

it's slim. it works. the multimedia buttons across the top are fantastic. at first i thought i wouldn't use them much, because i had macros bound for iTunes. but the keys along the top are easier to use without having to look for them

could be cheaper, since an official apple KB isn't much more than this one

Almost a winner

Maybe I'm nitpicking but this keyboard is probably a re badged version of another keyboard, the layout of exactly the same as the creative fatality and eluminx keyboards. How this happened I'm not sure but the layouts are exactly the same. So if you...

Decent quality for the price. Keys dont seem to wiggle. very tactile, very low profile, but I'm not sure if its "true" sisscor keys or just rubber and plastic. Very minimalistic, short yet keys are full sized. A desk saver. Requires no drivers

Why on the earth are there two ctrl keys? Why not make one larger EASIER to hit ctrl key rather than two? Two small ctrls dont make up for one normal sized ctrl key. Also the larger keys tend to feel somewhat "mushy", the apparent solidness (no wiggle...

Easily one of the best - Great price

Be sure to download the keyboard software from Kensington.com to fully use the iTunes function keys. The flat bottom also makes this a good lap keyboard. I hook my powerbook up to my TV in my room and use this as a remote of sorts while watching DVD's....

Awesome feel of the keys as you type ; feels like a GOOD laptop keyboard. Excellent compromise of size and functionality. Has a numeric keypad and nav buttons while still small enough to fit on my narrow keyboard droor. I love the iTunes buttons, which...

There is a small chip in my chrome trim. Very sad
