Review of the Logitech diNovo Media Desktop Laser

Logitech is known for its mice and keyboard combos and I recently got the chance to try the Logitech diNovo Media Desktop laser. Logitech's latest and greatest

This is a very nice product, it combines style and functions and I just love other people’s reaction to it. The laptop-style keys are really a plus on comfort, the functionality and programmability allows you to customize the set to your liking. A...

Expert Review

The diNovo Media Desktop Laser is one of the most feature packed keyboard and mouse packages on the market, but it's not worth the asking price. If you want the best of the best, it is worth a look, but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives.

Design, comfort, looks, Bluetooth receiver acts as hub, MediaPad doubles as remote control

Price, software, setup, no caps lock light

Logitech diNovo Media Desktop Laser

The looks of the ultra-thin, angular keyboard and detached MediaPad, though stunning, are not what makes this combo irresistible.

The diNovo Media Desktop Laser is a marvellous invention. Never have we seen such a fully featured digital media set embedded in a keyboard for quick access. Prepare to splash serious cash, though - and buy some backup batteries because this will drain...

Overpriced Junk

It would have been nice if there had been a way to attach the 10 key pad to the keyboard or at least add the fold down legs so it can be angled like the keyboard. Also, the rubber coating below the keyboard and 10 key pad look nice as long as you...

Cordless. Keyboard contains the entire alphabet. Media remote has been useful on occasion

We'll just do this one part at a time ; Keyboard: Weak tactile response. Space bar requires way too much pressure to register. Frequently loses connection despite remaining only 3 feet from the bluetooth dongle ; 10 Key pad: Powers down to save battery...

Flawed

For $150 you would think it would last longer than a year. Reliability is crud, and so is setpoint software. You will get more bang for the buck with Logitech's lower end wireless models.....which is quite confusing. For those who "have to have the...

Slim design is great. Long battery life, good connectivity

Seperate numeric pad is annoying. Limited life span....after roughly 1 year space key developed an unforgiving lag...now doesn't work half the time (even after cleaning and new batteries). Others in forums report the same thing...and always the space key

Great combo, with a few twists.

Elevate the receiver for a clear signal, ditch the CD and download from support site, and you got an awesome, sleek combo that looks smashin' on your living room coffee table. Mediapad is good for some basic control, but if you want something that can...

Very sleek-looking, cool design, good working distance (been using mediapad 20' from the PC to switch tracks in iTunes) Long battery life on all of them, very convenient mouse

A number of quirks ; 1. The bluetooth receiver location is important. Try sticking it into a USB port in the back of your PC in the bowels of your desk, and you will HATE this combo. I got a USB extension cable, and affixed its end to back edge of my...

Nicer and improved from last version

i had the older version of this one and when it started to break i thought about what other wireless keboards there were. Having bluetooth suport was a must and this one had it. also the feel of the keyboard is great if you are used to using laptops....

Nice layout and the mouse charger is separate from the blue tooth USB easy plug and play. Quite keyboard noise. ergonomic mouse

Good Service

oh and the mouse and keypad, i can use about 20 or a bit more feet away from my PC.. lowering and pausing music from Foobar player..

Had two of this keyboard since 2003 and until now(08), it works like a new keyboard+mouse. Get this, only have to change battery on the keyboard once not with the pad though.. it sucks battery more ; Yes they lag on me for about 1-2 secs but that...

Time to time when it disconnects, its hard to get them connected again. Requires me to do a few restarts before it works normal again

No Mouse Lag!

I purchased 3 of these a couple of years ago and need a 4th. I use these on my main workstations in my office. They get used many hours every day of the week and they work great! The only interference I notice is when I place my bluetooth phone a...

Bluetooth, slim, silent keys

Don't bother with the Set Point software. It wants to re-connect too often. You will have mouse lag if you DON'T get the dongle away from the computer. I have mine on a Belkin 4 port usb hub and it works great
