Bargain price that more than delivers on performance

Good value ; Easy to set up and use

Acer produces more bargain and entry-level notebooks than just about any other company out there. Because of its aggressive reseller chain, you can find the company's products on just about any high street or Web site store.

Good value, Easy to set up and use

Average performance, Thin on features

Great value but the chassis is starting to show its age

hahahahaha

thats why you put XP or Linux, or both on it when you get it home

LOL - Vista is still in its infancy, 512 isn't nearly enough for it, XP and Fedora or Ubuntu work much better

Not to Bad

I don't own one but a friend bought two of them, one for herself and her daughter. So I purchased 2 sticks of the Crucial 1GB DDR2 PC2-5300 from ole Newegg, and popped one in each machine, went into BIOS and upped the video memory to 128 and they're...

Nice little laptop for the money ; One good thing is Acer dosen't load it up with a bunch of junk software that you'll never use. It's really very clean so you don't have to uninstall the useless software that alot of other brand laptops would force on...

Vista is a memory hogg, so it runs a bit slow because of the lack of memory, it comes with only 512Mb

Beware of ACER Costom Support

Beware you are only buying an acer for the computer and not for the Customer support - or lack of. Do not expect them to do what they say or even fix your computer

GET A HP or if you must a dell

Very Nice

The notebook is great for back to school, has everything I need, and does what it needs for the price. Wish I could say I bought it from newegg!!

I own the 3680 which is similar except the processor speed is 1.86 ghz. I originally planned on buying a powerful notebook, but realizing its only for school and seeing it for $400 at another retailer, I couldn't pass it up. I am extremely happy with...

Vista lags a bit with 512 mb of ram so I will dish money out for an upgrade. Battery life isn't great either.I also delike how vista rates your system, because the rating it gives my notebook makes me want to cry

Good Value with Limitations

Acer tweaks the OS on their computers with what they call Acer Empowering Technology. It's not a bad thing, but I see no added value to it - the standard OS is probably better overall. I'd be extremely wary about running Vista on the supplied 512MB of...

I own the same version of this NB with two differences - 1) mine has no webcam, and 2) the OS is Acer-tweaked XP Media Center not Vista. Product pros include sturdy construction, low heat, low noise, reliable wireless LAN w/WPA2 security, nice layout...

The WXGA screen has some severe limitations. Vertical and horizontal viewing angle is limited to 90 deg +/- 7 deg. Also the screen suffers moderate bleedout (white to grey edges when screen should be completely black). Additionally, the CrystalBrite...

Great buy for the dollar

Great features (DVDR Combo drive, 60gb harddrive, 15.

Low battery life (about an hour to an hour and a half) but I usually have it plugged in so it hasn't bothered me.
