Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi review

You don't have to spend big money to get a stylish notebook

Stylish ; Quiet and cool running ; Cheap

Shortage of ports ; Limited viewing angles ; It's no gaming machine

It's pretty cheap, but doesn't look it, although performance is inevitably compromised at this price

Acer Aspire 5101AWLMi

Buying a budget laptop is a risky business, especially if you're using it for work. Will your colleagues laugh at your obviously cheap system? They won't if you choose the Aspire 5101AWLMi, because it looks very good indeed

Small and unobtrusive device, Stylish, Quiet and cool running, Cheap

An expensive solution, Complicated set up, Shortage of ports, Limited viewing angles, It's no gaming machine

It's pretty cheap, but doesn't look it, although performance is inevitably compromised at this price

Acer Aspire 5101ANWLMi

A laptop which won't burn a hole in your pocket and at the same time offers a fair amount of features and performance.

Affordable Laptop, Good Design, Targus Bag Bundled Along

Average Performance, Low Battery Life, Bit Heavy

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Great value!

Big, clear display with nice resolution.

Vista eats 50% of physical memory just running.

Decent machine with heavy OS

Good monitor (better than I expected), 1 Gig of memory, DVD burner.

Vista is very heavy even with 1 gig of memory.

Bye Bye, Vista

good CPU, decent amount of RAM and average allround hardware for a competitive price.

First of, NOTHING WORKED with Vista pre-installed, so I got rid of it and re-installed XP back.

Great for the money

Good screen, mouse pad good, key board good.

Acer adds so much %^&$ software that you may want to format and reload windows like I did.
