Acer Aspire 5613AWLMi

Clad in Acer's age-old silver and black trimmings, the Aspire 5613AWLMi notebook is a simple but effective unit, which features all the hardware neede...

Acer Empowering Technology software, media controls, price

Speaker quality, no FireWire, Core Duo (as opposed to Core 2 Duo)

Although the Acer Aspire 5613AWLMi has no definitively outstanding feature worth mentioning, the combination of its media controls, shortcuts, Acer Empowering Technology software, price and performance-results make it a nice machine to own.

A middle-of-the-road effort from Asus

Good value for money ; Decent performance

Slightly underpowered for Vista

Offering great value for money, this is a well-specified and appealing machine

Nice Laptop

Pre installed OS has to be reinstalled in my case. I don't like it at all. It needs at least 2-4 Gb of RAM to be able to run well. XP and Ubuntu - my choice.

Fast, cheap, nice

none so far

Acer Aspire AS5610-2089 NoteBook Intel Pentium dual-core T2080(1.73GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 1GB Memory DDR2 533 160GB HDD DVD Super Multi Intel GMA950

I was a bit hasty to review the product the first time, Maybe mine just got messed up in transit. Upon receiving the box it was "well handled" so I sent it back for a return.

Provided you dont get a faulty unit. The system is pretty nice for what you have to pay, lots of additonal ports for different devices if you have the need to utilize them

I found acers website to be somewhat difficult for the beginning computer user. Ontop of that I had to reinstall the OS to remove the useless software that came bundled with the laptop. the laptop CANNOT be upgraded to 4 gigs of ram. 5 days of use...

So far so good, would buy it again if for some reason I needed another.

Great product for the money your going to spend, I myself use it for running virtual machines and various memory intensive programs without any problems regardless of the 1g memory. Fast and alot of features

Was going to upgrade the ram to 2-4g and was hoping that the 1g of memory currently in the system was a 1g stick, however it was 2x512s and there is only 2 slots that the memory can go in...not a big deal, It was just something that I was wondering...

Price makes this a great buy

The first thing I did with this notebook was rip the ram and HD out and upgraded to 3gb ram and a 200gb 7200 RPM travelstar and added the bluetooth. I doubt you will find a laptop anywhere near the specs I have for under $1500.

Great battery life, weight is very well distributed, upgradeable to 4gb (more on this in a minute), doesn't have a ton of junk software already installed, runs extremely cool and THE PRICE

The camera quit working as soon as windows was updated. Their is a fix but I don't really care enough to do it. Computer can not be upgraded to 4gb of ram because of a conflict either with Vista, Acer or Intel. I spent endless hours trying to figure...

Very Good

I would gladly buy with setup again without a second thought!

(Based up the 2gb ram version). This is a very good laptop. Beautiful display, very fast. Excellent acer management software for recovery..etc. Extremely good value

In mine the cardbus is an ENE controller. I had trouble using this port with a firewire cardbus card using a VIA chipset. Not sure if it would work with a TI chipset. So beware if you plan on using a firewire cardbus for real time streaming of audio/video

Great product

I use this 100% for school work; classnotes, papers, homework and emailing. This has yet to let me down. I do have other programs installed like AIM, mozilla. Also no problems with the Vista OS. First time using it, and i love it.

Awesome fit and finish, great key spacing as well as easy to use and has a great display

Speakers are kind of weak, but you can always find some great laptop speakers on this site
