I spent a while researching before I bought -- so when I saw this model with 4 gb memory and 320 gig HDD and components similar to Toshiba, I knew I'd hit a good deal. This model is listed in the European Acer site under Sweden -- for those who can't...

Excellent hardware for the price, specs are comparable to laptops priced much higher

Video chip handles DVDs without issue, have not loaded any 3D games so would be interesting too know what too expect

a good choice

 

downgrade to windows xp sp3 for a better performance, especially gaming. although this laptop isn't designed for gaming.

huge amount of memory and HD for a laptop, get it at very cheap price during BF

voice of the speaker is relative low, but much better when connect to a Logitech speaker
