Review Acer Aspire 7750G Notebook

Mobile gaming. Mobile gaming. Performance like a DTR, yet battery

Good 3D performance; Strong battery life for 17 inches; High application performance; Low system noise; Low power consumption

Few interfaces & unfavorable positioning; Coiling keyboard; Comparatively slow HDD; Narrow viewing angles; Long battery charging time (4:15h)

Four RAM slots and an unoccupied HDD slot. That lets notebook tuners' hearts beat faster.

AMD Graphics

It also seems I never got any sort of documentation (manual, warranty, etc.) All it came with was that small Passport booklet... Was NOT a truly dedicated 2 GB card, although that would have made the price $600-$700 more... Would've reset it to factory...

The Good: It looked great for a 17' laptop, had all the specs I was looking for... Initially, I thought I had made the best purchase in my life. Sound was great, very advanced audio. Also didn't wait too long for my package to arrive

The Bad: The AMD Switchable Graphics inside wasn't what I expected when the specs told me it had a 2 GB vid card in there, I did research on it before the package arrived and found out that's what came with it... (seems to be the standard with laptops...

Great Laptop for great price

If you want a laptop that is under $1000 and has a lot of power, this it the laptop for you.

This laptop is a powerful laptop for a great price. The standard 8GB of RAM with expandable up to 16 is rare feature for this price range. The screen is very clear. There are two separate 500GB HDD which one could be swapped out for a SSD

No separate volume control button. You use the Function Key and the Up or Down arrows. Not much of a con, but worth noting

Very nice machine!

This is a very nice, mid-level machine. It has a solid video card, expandable RAM, and very solid construction

Switchable graphics is a royal pain, that's about all

Great for your money

And then on mine i am asking for a replacment as we speak as mine dont work as it should.

Good computer for your money. It would have gotten a perfect if it was not for the Switchable Graphics

I hate the Switchable Graphics, you can't just turn off the Intel HD graphics, you have to use it as the primary graphic on the computer. Only an a program that has a need for high dept graphic will it kick on

great laptop

all and all I love it.

the i7 is super speedy, the full size keyboard and num pad really make the difference ; the matt black cover has textured surface that makes it fingerprint proof which for me is great because I hate to wipe it down to keep it looking nice. upgrade able...

Hate the switchable graphics, my computer doesn't recognize the graphics card and it took me soooooo much time to configure it to work in linux. I was really excited for the 2GB dedicated video memory but it looks kinda choppy when playing battlefield 3

Switchable Graphic Drivers/Bios Suck!

Worth the price. The bloatware that others are complaining about is not bad at all.

Fast, great price, nice screen, and quiet

Switchable graphics sucks big time, If I could return this laptop without a penalty, for a non switchable graphic one I would. I wish there was an option in the bios to disable the Intel graphic card in the bios. I updated to the latest bios as well,...

Awesome performance for it's price

All in all it is a superb laptop system--- I can still do my projects without much slowdowns while away from home (where my beefier desktop PC is waiting) and at school... in fact, while my school PC's not bad, this laptop leaves my school lab PCs in...

I just got this a few days ago and I must say that this laptop is awesome ; I was looking for a laptop that can do semi-intensive digital imaging and other computer-related projects at school and if I have some downtime, at I can do it while at work as...

The Acer Bloatware. Gawds ; Lack of OS Disk. Though backing it up after booting it the first time can negate this con but it comes with some of the bloatware mumbo-jumbo (*cough*McAfee AV*cough*) that Acer put in it, oh well

Great deal.

Great graphics card for the price. Plays Dead Space 2 and Borderlands on high right out of the box, and that's all I could ask for

The switchable graphics was annoying at first but I suppose it has its uses ; I've accidentally hit the power button multiple times while moving the laptop. Just a minor nuisance
