Acer Aspire AS5532-5535 (Athlon 64 TF-20 1.6GHz review

Editors' note: This review is part of our , which covers specific fixed configurations of popular systems found in retail stores.

Decent looks; roomy display; Wireless-N Wi-Fi.

Woeful performance, even for a budget laptop; poor battery life; flimsy keyboard, no Webcam; terrible audio output.

The entry-level Acer Aspire AS5532-5535 can keep up with neither dual-core laptops that are still moderately priced nor with a competing single-core entry-level laptop from Compaq.

"NEVER BUY AN ACER COMPUTER!!!!!"

This laptop was great for about a month, then the overheating problems started, and then the USB hubs didn't work, then the sound card went, then the disc drive stopped working, and now the hard drive wont work. Never buying acer again!

None at all.

Can barely run Windows 7

I have the Emachine version E627 of this Acer 5532

I would buy one again. At these Low prices I can afford to upgrade every couple years.Don't you want to keep up with the New Tech anyway?? Seems your Rig is Out Dated before you get it home from Best Buy anyway!! Get One you will love it.

Good for Internet,Movies,Music,Games,email,banking,E-bay,Face Book Etc. Fast,BEAUTIFUL SCREEN, Not Heavy,Cool Looking DVD,CD,Burner.Movie Making,It handles everything I feed it...FUN Dependable

Not Many if Any,They say "You get what you pay for." In this case I got FAR MORE! than I paid for.$176.00 on Ebay 2010 model so what are the cons? Only 2 usb's,but they are 2.0..No Complaints everything works.

"I hate this laptop"

Honestly the list goes on with the cons, despite the price ($499) it's not even worth that. Had I know all the issues that comes with this laptop I would not have bought it. It disconnects from the internet frequently, no matter if I'm on facebook or...

Functional keyboard with numberpad

Terrible wireless connectivity
