Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-76JG)

The Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-76JG) entry-level gaming laptop boasts solid features and decent performance, but short battery life and a GPU that can't match the 4K display resolution are undeniable drawbacks.

Beautiful 4K display. Lots of storage space. Decent port selection. Little bloatware. Speedy 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Lackluster battery life. GPU can't support 4K gaming.

Conclusion The Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-76JG) is a definite improvement over the last iteration, the Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-70JY), with better performance and a more affordable price. Unfortunately, it still has the two biggest flaws...

Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-70JY)

Acer's Aspire V 15 Nitro updates an existing 15-inch gaming laptop with a gorgeous 4K display, but it doesn't make up for lackluster performance and short battery life in testing.

Outfitted with an Intel Core i7-4710HQ quad-core CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GPU. Sizable storage, with an SSD speed boost. Gorgeous 4K display. Excellent keyboard.

Short battery life on our tests. Lackluster processing performance. GPU can't support the 4K display.

Conclusion Often, upgrading a lower-tier product with premium components results in a better end product, but for the Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-70JY), that's not the case. The increased RAM and storage capacity is a small change, and most of the...

Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro 7-591G-74LK

It's available in various configurations in the US , UK and Australia in 15.6- and 17.3-inch versions starting around $1,000 in the US, AU$2,000 in Australia and £777 in the UK. The exact 15.6-inch configuration reviewed here is currently only...

The Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition packs quality components including a high-end quad-core processor, discrete graphics and dual storage drives into an understated body. It has a great 4K-resolution display and sweet-sounding speakers.

The mid-range graphics processor will keep you from playing many games at full 4K resolution. Lack of a touchscreen might disappoint some. Though somewhat expected, battery life is short.

A thinner, lighter gaming laptop, the Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition satisfies with an excellent screen and performance and understated good looks.

Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-75S2)

The Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro is an entry-level gaming laptop with some real muscle, showing impressive performance and solid battery life without the expense of a premium system.

Affordable price for a gaming laptop. Solid performance, thanks to an Intel Core i7-4710HQ quad-core CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GPU. Sizable storage with a solid-state drive (SSD) speed boost.

Design is fairly bland for a gaming laptop.

Conclusion There are several entry-level gaming systems currently available, but the Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro (VN7-591G-75S2) looks to be the best of the bunch right now. With a solid component selection and feature list matched by excellent performance...

A Review of the Acer Aspire V15 4K Nitro Black Edition VN7-591G-70TG

Excellent IPS display ; Solid connectivity options ; Superb price ; Well designed for constant use ; Good brightness

Low battery life ; No metal in body ; Color spectrum coverage could be better ; Not a 4K gaming laptop ; Uneven brightness

The bottom line is that while the Acer Aspire V15 4K display laptop underperforms other 4K notebooks we’ve reviewed in terms of battery power and display quality, its core hardware specs are excellent and available here for a fantastic price of less...
