Acer Swift Edge review: insanely thin, insanely light

The Acer Swift Edge SFA16-41 is a miraculously thin and light 16-inch laptop with a spectacular OLED display. But fitting everything in forces some compromises.

Uniquely thin and light Spectacular display Solid productivity performance Good battery life Moderately priced

Flexible chassis Creative performance is lacking Keyboard is too loose

“The Acer Swift Edge is a remarkably thin and light 16-inch laptop with a class-leading OLED display, but it feels a bit flimsy and creative performance is lacking.”

Acer Swift Edge Review: World's Lightest 16-Inch OLED Laptop Ready for Work Wherever You Are

The AMD-powered Swift Edge makes it easy to work anywhere without sacrificing screen size to do it.

Less than 3 pounds ; 16-inch OLED display ; Ports, connections good for home and office

Some software bloat ; Keyboard could be better ; USB-C ports all on left side

Acer Swift Edge laptop review: The lightest 4K OLED laptop yet

Acer's Swift Edge Laptop manages to sport features that usually push laptop prices over the $2,000 mark, for around $500 less -- but not without cutting a few corners.

Gorgeous 4K display with rich colors ; Excellent port selection includes 2 full USB-A slots ; Thinner and lighter than you'd expect from the spec sheet

Can run quite hot when it's being pushed ; More flex than I'd like in some places ; Battery life is just OK

Hopefully, I've illustrated the high points and drawbacks of the Swift Edge in a way that will help you decide if its skills and deficits suit your needs. I believe the ideal owner would be someone who will fully exploit the larger, 4K display. If...

Acer Swift Edge 16 review: exceptionally light laptop is a pro performer

Outside of the heaviest graphic processing tasks, the Acer Swift Edge 16 is a great choice for creative pros.

Thin and light ; Looks great ; Decent processor

No Windows Hello ; Average battery life ; Reflective screen

The Acer Swift Edge 16 is an excellent all-around laptop with a strong CPU and plenty of RAM. Creative software runs well, and the 16in, 16:10 OLED screen is bright, sharp and colourful. It may lack the graphics power for 4K gaming or heavy 3D...

Acer Swift Edge

The Acer Swift Edge is one of the lightest 16-inch laptops on the market, coming with a vibrant OLED 4K display.

Gorgeous 4K OLED display ; Extremely light for its size ; Great port selection ; Reliable productivity performance

Speakers don’t get very loud ; Awkward typing experience ; Not quite as powerful as rivals ; Battery life is below par

The Acer Swift Edge is one of the lightest 16-inch laptops I’ve ever reviewed. Not only does it weigh just 1.17kg, but it also has a decent selection of ports and a fantastic OLED 4K display.

Acer Swift Edge review: a super-light laptop with a big 4K display

Looking for a 16-inch laptop that doesn't weigh much at all? Our Acer Swift Edge review reveals whether this ultrabook is right for you

Very light ; Lovely 4K display ; Lots of ports ; Fast and responsive ; Good value for the price

Doesn't support Thunderbolt 4 ; Lacks number pad ; Average battery ; Average audio

The Acer Swift Edge has two big selling points: its supreme lightness, and its beautiful 16-inch 4K display. So if you want a large screen for entertainment and productivity, and you plan to be on the move a lot, it's a good choice. On the downside,...

Acer Swift Edge review: A 4K weightless whizz and now a BIG Black Friday bargain | Expert Reviews

A super-light 16in laptop with a potent AMD chipset and a glorious UHD OLED screen

Acer Swift Edge review: a dream of a screen

This AMD-powered 16in OLED laptop weighs next to nothing. Does that make the Acer Swift Edge ideal for commuting creators?

Practically as portable as a 13in thin-and-light ; Gorgeous 4K OLED screen ; Consistent performance and battery life

Some keyboard issues ; Fair bit of pre-installed bloat ; Fan can get mighty loud

A sumptuously slim laptop with a stunner of a screen. AMD power delivers on performance and battery life, too. The Swift Edge is purpose-built for hybrid workers who don’t want to be weighed down by their tech.

Acer Swift Edge SFA16-41 review: An incredible OLED display let down by mediocrity elsewhere | IT PRO

The Acer's OLED display and AMD CPU are good, but this machine is too ordinary in several other important areas

Fantastic OLED screen ; Decent AMD processor ; Slim and light chassis

Build quality issues ; Disappointing keyboard ; No Thunderbolt or card reader
