Acer's Swift 14 is a stylish and super-bright ultraportable, but could do with a price cut.

Well-designed, sturdy, all-metal chassis. Great 16:10 display. Excellent performance. Solid value.

So-so battery life. Extraneous branding ruins the otherwise slick design.

Portable, powerful and with the build of a style-driven laptop, the Acer Swift X 14 has a lot to offer. And it doesn't cost quite as much as some of these "do everything" models. Some of the finer points aren't best-in-class, and it's not the best way...
