Acer TravelMate 290LMi

The Acer TravelMate 290LMi is a desktop replacement notebook that you can actually take with you.

The standard warranty on parts and labor is one year. On-site service is not available. Toll-free technical support is 24/7.

Service and support

Acer TravelMate 290 series

Inexpensive; excellent battery life; optional DVD-R/-RW burner.

Mediocre keyboard; color display looks undersaturated; one-year warranty.

With the low-end model starting at $999, the TravelMate 290 series will appeal to the back-to-school crowd and anyone on a tight budget.

Acer TM292EL Ci-XPP Laptop Review

The Acer TravelMate 290E Celeron powered notebook was created for budget minded people. The 290E comes in two models; TM292EL Ci-XPP and TM292EXC. We take a look at the more expensive one.

Nice keyboard, Good price, Very thin for a 15" notebook

Slow performance, Limited viewing angle on the 15" screen, Poor battery life, Runs hot
