Acer Travelmate 4720-6727

Business laptops are designed to be bland, conservative, and unnoticeable in a busy work environmentbut can this be taken too far? The Acer TravelMate 4720-6727 ($1,049 street) begs this very question. It has the raw horsepower and a stacked feature...

Inexpensive business laptop. Very good performance parts. Over 5 hours of battery life

Fit-and-finish needs work. Heavier and thicker than the competition

This value-priced business laptop is consistent with Acer's goal of offering the best performance and features for the money, albeit at the expense of design.

Acer TravelMate 4720 (Core 2 Duo 2GHz review: Acer TravelMate 4720 (Core 2 Duo 2GHz

Acer TravelMate 4720 (Core 2 Duo 2GHz

Long-lived nine-cell battery; strong performance; sturdy construction; ergonomically curved keyboard.

Somewhat heavy for a thin-and-light notebook; dim screen; small touch pad; fingerprint reader decreases mouse button size; limited phone support hours.

The Acer TravelMate's lengthy battery life and remarkably low price make it a compelling alternative to laptops from more well-known manufacturers.

ACER - TM4720-6218 T7500 2.2G 2GB 160GB DVDRW 14.1-WXGA WL LAN BT BFP

I did a lot of research before I purchased. This notebook lives up to its specs. It seems just right for me. Light and rugged. Quiet and fast. Worth the money and performs better than equivalent notebooks that cost more money. I highly recommend this...

Tight, well put together, reasonably quiet. Product is solid and reliable. Vendor (PC Nation) was courteous, patient and knowledgeable. Arrived when they said it would.

None really.Vista can be annoying. But Acer sends an XP disk to downgrade if Vista is not reliable.
