Apple Macbook Pro 15-inch (Core 2 Duo)

With its vast features and a Core 2 Duo upgrade, the MacBook Pro 15-inch easily sits among the elite.

Fastest Core 2 Duo processor available. Terrific performance scores. Best-looking laptop on the market. Now has a FireWire 800 port and can burn dual-layer DVDs

Battery life could be better

Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch 2.5GHz review

Apple's laptop workhorse gets updated, and the result is mighty impressive

Beautiful, detailed display ; Luxurious sprung keyboard ; World-class processing speeds ; Doubled video RAM ; Lower-power processor and screen ; Excellent connection options

If you have been waiting for a reason to upgrade your laptop, the latest MacBook Pro is it. Highly recommended.

Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch (early 2011)

If you got a MacBook Pro for Christmas, we're sorry to have to break the news that it is out of date already, and it's too long ago for you to take it back and swap it out for the new range that launched at the end of February. But should you be...

Thunderbolt, faster specs, well built, good design

No devices on the market for Thunderbolt

The 15-inch top of the range model we tested certainly proves that it has the oomph to pack a punch and get the job done. Dropping down within the 15-inch range you get a slightly slower processor, while dropping down to the 13-inch models you’re only...

Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch i5 notebook

We've all become familiar with Apple's update cycle, so for many, the latest batch of MacBook Pros is no surprise. We'd been predicting the Core i update with switchable graphics for some time by simple recognition of it being an exciting move in the...

Design, power, build quality, seamless graphics switching

Graphics switching could do with some refinement, still no sign of HDMI or Blu-ray

The new MacBook Pro 15-inch i5 reviewed here is the most affordable model at this size priced at £1499, offering a noticeable improvement in performance, both from a core processing point of view and from the battery life. There are a few minor...

Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch Review

2011's refresh of Apple's MacBook Pro line-up has been quite a significant one as far as processing power is concerned as it finally brings

At Rs.1,04,900, it makes a very tempting buy if you're looking for both battery life and solid performance, which let’s face it, is very difficult to find on a Windows-based notebook. The refresh continues the legacy of the MacBook Pros before it, by...

Apple MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.4GHz)

The build quality is not up there with similarly priced laptops. OSX does not just work, it has broken down as much if not more than my XP. Mind you I do like the quick start times. This is a nice "fashionable" laptop that does its "laptop" work well.

Better than average keyboard and the mag safe cord is terrific

build quality is not as good as similarly priced laptops (i.e. thinkpads)
