The Asus Vivobook S550CB-CJ123H ultrabook runs on Windows 8 OS and has Intel Core i3(3rd generation) 1.8 GHz processor. It has Nvidia GeForce GT 740M graphics processor with 2GB DDR3 dedicated graphics memory. The ulltrabook is ideal for personal and...

Good laptop, but Bloatware infested

Don't leave this laptop behind just because other people said it performs poorly. It performs extremely well even on an i3, however you will have to spend some time uninstalling a lot of the manufacturer bloat ware, the main culprit being one named...

Just What I Was After

Had to make some minor customisations due to NSW DET wireless networks, and as such, here are the specifications of the particular model: 4GB 1600Mhz RAM 24GB SSD (for express cache) 750GB HDD 740M GPU with 4GB DDR3 RAM Intel Core i5 CPU And it meets...

Upgradeable, removeable battery, multitouch screen

The positioning of the battery feels like it could be snapped out when being carried. Touching the lower left of teh screen causes display artifacts (goes different colours)

over speced and under performs

i bought this machine 3 months ago ,because of the specs and have found it to be dog slow for its specs.Plus it shuts down for no reason. The key board is also useless as you can not type with any speed as the keys strokes don't register and you have to...

screen size plus the touch screen

absolutely rubbish

i bought it at the goodbuy at discount, however it frequently freezes when i open multiple chrome, excel and word. absolutely rubbish given its specs, cannot even perform what my 4 years old acer can do. plus windows 8 is another piece of rubbish that...

Good, but at what price?

After using this laptop for a while my only advice is don't let the specs deceive you, the 740M graphics card is a nice addition but go for the less expensive options with the i5 processors, i have the i7 with 8g ram and as far as i can tell there is...

Windows 8 is great, one of the best laptops out

Its a laptop, if you are just using it for "laptopy" things, internet/word etc. This thing is overpriced and overkill

Nice looking piece of rubbish

I bought the i7 version, within a month the screen cracked, while i was opening the lid, not abusing it in any way. Aus refuse repair screens under warranty. Then they rort you on the cost of a new one. I also wonder how they manged to make a notebook...

Looks nice, nice keyboard

Poor resolution & colour reproduction, fragile screen, seriously underpowered, a lot of bloatware. Nonexistent warranty.

Amazingly thin yet, unbelievable specifications.

I own it. It's great, the only problem that i had with it was it's display and it has lots of bloatware that aren't really important. I had to calibrate it's display because it wasn't accurate in color, it has high levels of blue. It's display was...

Loud and clear speakers, thin, it is quite even if it starts to cool itself, fast

Inaccurate color of display, contains a lot of bloatware

Great buy for the price

Bought this laptop ~ 1 month ago, absolutely no problems so far. Runs great. Specs for the price are very decent, plus touch screen (which makes it a lot easier to navigate Windows 8). Also has full keyboard with numpad. While not a gaming machine,...

Great middle of the range ultrabook, solid build

Mild annoyance - combined headphone/microphone jack
