Bought it for the wife

A great laptop, though it might be hard to find one now. Thought about upgrading the RAM from 4GB, but with Mint, it's never even used 4GB. My wife watches TV shows on it in a web browser a lot, and the battery still lasts 3-4+ hours. A great little...

Replace the HDD that came with it with a Crucial M4 128GB SSD and install Linux Mint 13 (MATE) on it, and it FLIES. Compared to my laptop that cost the same price two years earlier, hers is a quad-core (versus single core), has graphics that are about...

Nothing I can think of...except that the keyboard keys are flatter than they look in the image. She was hoping for something like her old HP DV9000, which had keys that are raised up more. Also, the numeric keypad and the arrow keys are smooshed in an...

Good for its price

Very nice laptop for its price. Not for power users or gamers though, mostly for office / homework or light gamers. Would recommend for an average user: keyboard functions are pretty standard. The two major drawbacks are that the power supply and...

Cheap, lightweight, good video card, durable

Not a power laptop, tends to heat up during elevated use, stock power supply gives off tons of heat, integrated mouse pad too sensative

Wise people read this and run.

It is cheap.Makes a good paper weight. Excellent tool for estimating the height of a cliff, just drop it off the edge and time how long it takes to hit the ground. Nice product if you could use a new computer for about a month. Great while it worked

It is cheap. I purchased this computer for my girlfriend 37 days ago so we could communicate while she was in school. We are currently separated by 2000 miles. :( When you plug it in to charge, it wont charge. It is dead now. She purchased a new cord....

Unreal Performance for Price

Got this laptop onsale for 350 and took advantage of it. Definitely the greatest purchase I have made computer-related.

The amount of battery life this thing has is ridiculous ; Runs all of my school related programs fairly well which is good ; Can run league of legends 60fps at medium settings

Keyboard is NOT-back lit. That is literally my only complaint, this thing is flawless

Best Purchase I've made

I would recommend this to anyone who needs a cheaper-end laptop to get the most out of anything and everything. There's really nothing I could want more on this laptop for what I use it for (basically simple note-taking, office for school, sql server,...

Out of the box I bought a Vertex 4 128gb ssd, 8gb of g.skill RAM and installed it, without ever booting into the machine. Installed windows 7 then transferred to windows 8 in the past 3 weeks. The machine runs flawlessly and I have yet to have a...

If I had to mention ANYTHING it would be the "palm proof technology" that I have yet to see. I feel that it may have just been something added along with the OS if you use the hard drive and system that comes with the computer, since I installed my own...

Exceeded my expectations

I did not expect to get as decent of a system for the cost. Even though it has a 5400 rpm hard drive, I really can't tell much of a difference. Has USB 3.0 and HDMI ports and it's been a real solid performer. You can spend a lot more money for all of...

Fast Processor ; Graphics quality is very good ; Games play smoothly ; One year replacement warranty (no extra charge) ; Was able to bundle with a cooling fan/stand for no extra cost

If you use the built in mouse pad, the button clicking is annoying ; Did not like the ELAN touch pointer default settings were too sensitive, but that was easy to correct

Good bang for the buck !

Changed the 5400 rpm hdd for a black scorpio western digital 7200 rpm 320gb and its perfect. (Feel some vibration thought so i might tighten the hdd) Ill probably buy 8gb of quicker ram and ill be set for longtime. Good multitask laptop for the price...

Nice look ; Fast response ; Numpad ; Bright screen ; Battery Life ; Silent

5400 rpm Hard Drive ; Sound (for the price its okay) ; No HDD rack

Satisfied

A awesome deal at $350! going to buy 8gb of ram and a 128gb ssd- this laptop will be flying.

good performance, does not heat up , looks nice, good for gaming graphics

easy to make fingerprints on mousepad and around, the mouse clickers are a bit loud, but thats not a big deal because i will be using a separate mouse

Quad-Core for 349.99!

Don't buy it unless it's on sale! one of the biggest pros of my purchase was the cost for performance due to the $349.99 price tag! Also do a clean install on the operating system if you can, as always bloatware on laptops slows down your computer.

This was a great computer for the price! Quad-Core for $349.99! in order to take full advantage of it though, use the money you save and pick up 2x4GB of ram for the 2 ram slots (Kingston Hyper are good) and if you aren't too worried about space (or...

1. I wish it had a second drive bay slot so I could have an SSD and HDD...But then...I wish ALL laptops had two drive bays ; 2. No Keyboard Backlight...but that's not exactly a deal breaker

Great laptop

It froze a couple of times, so I'm going to upgrade the memory as dual channel memory works better for DDR3, than 1 stick - Overall, very happy with the purchase (upgraded from 4 year old netbook) - I don't plan on gaming, but it runs multiple programs...

Affordable price ; AMD integrated graphics cards makes it possible to adjust visual graphics easily (change brightness, etc) ; large screen ; Nice feel to the laptop ; Very fast ; No bloatware like others said

The casing of the laptop is not metal like other Asus models ; Fingerprints all over the laptop happen extremely easily ; (if I saw it in person, it would have made me think about the purchase more) ; The main con is fingerprints (im considering...
